In a week or 2, the season will be over for 21-3A and all district selections will be made.  I thought i'd start this thread and see if anyone can predict who gets all district and the superlatives.  Last season, there was MVP, off MVP, def MVP, newcomer of the year, coach of the year, and 7 1st and 2nd teamers each.  That leaves 14 spots for 2 teams plus 4 superlatives for 18 spots.  I'll name some possible players and you fill in the blanks:

MVP: ?

Offensive MVP: ?

Defensive MVP: ?

Newcomer of the year: ?

Coach of the year: ?

1st team all district

1 - 7 ?

2nd team all district

1 - 7 ?

Here are a list of possible names i came up with, maybe theres a few more you can add.

How many of these names would qualify for newcomer of the year?  I know Granger from Orangefield would qualify and be an excellent choice, just wondering who else would be considered.

Bobcat05, why is 7 so surprising?  The girls had 6 per team on the team you just posted for this year and the boys had 7 last year.  It usually depends on the coaches determining how many are deserving and how much talent is in the district.

HJ2012, you may want to modify your selections because a player that wins a superlative isnt on 1st or 2nd team.

It's not surprising.  I was thinking it wouldn't be 7 only 6 like the girls.

And HJ2012, you aren't a HOMER at all  :D

Haha! :D I see mainly H-J play, so I gotta pickem! But what really sold me on Ricossa was his amazing spin move last night! He was in front of #50, then he was behind him. #50 didnt know what happened! It was awesome!

hands down to any one that knows anything about basketball knows that the head coach of the year is by far coach sutherland and H-J shoul have 2 if not 3 players on the 1st team( jarvis, trey,and jacoby) and not to mention phillip, he does great things in the paint that go un-noticed by many........great job phillip

      I will never understand why someone cares what decisions a family makes regarding their own child? Maybe Joe Burrow learns great life lessons from burning up all his eligibility sitting behind Justin Fields at Ohio State but I’m sure him and his family feel like they made the right decision by transferring to LSU, becoming the #1 pick and now being the highest paid QB in NFL history. Same for Kyler Murray, Baker Mayfield and Jalen Hurts at their first stops.    I think it was more beneficial for Reggie Branch to transfer to Crosby and end up having an opportunity to play for a state title versus staying at GCM and learning life lessons while he loses and probably doesn’t go D1 because his team is a perennial loser. If Robinson throws for 2k yards this year it’s going to be a lot better for his recruitment purposes than sitting on the bench at BH, not to mention he’s going to get significant looks because of the kids he’s on the team with and the offers/commitments they’ve already made. He’s not being taught to run from competition, he’s being taught to gamble on himself just like all those other guys I mentioned did.

      Every Yuppie wants one.  Give me a V-8 with loud pipes, and they can have their electric vehicles.  Was working a major incident one day and we had a road blocked off.  Police vehicles with lights going and a kid pulls up in a Tesla.  He - let me stress that HE is sobbing uncontrollably because he is at 5% battery life and HAS to go down the road we have blocked to get to a charging station.  He pulled over and literally threw a temper tantrum because we would not let him through.
