Friday

Colmesneil at West Hardin (my small school game for the season)     pregame meal at Mama Jack's

Where will you be this week?

It's only Sunday night but right now I'm planning to get to Dayton (vs PNG) this Friday, and probably get drive-thru from Chic-fil-a or Canes.

I can't imagine The Citadel playing A&M.  What's the deal, they're a AA or AAA team.  I see they lost to Charleston Southern (formerly Baptist College) a couple of weeks ago.  But Rudy's BBQ is good.

The Citadel is a FCS school like Lamar, SFA. McNeese, etc.

Many FBS schools play FCS schools. LSU played McNeese this year.

A&M will beat them very badly. I'm only going because it's Military Weekend and my daughter, who served in the Army/Reserves for 8 years, wanted to attend with her three boys. Just going for the atmosphere and time with the family. This game is secondary to me but my grandsons are excited about it. Good enough for me.

I hear you, wrt kids and grandkids.  We used to attend Citadel games when we lived in Charleston, but this was way back in the '80s.  Made a few Carolina and Clemson games too when I got tickets, and even one Furman game.  Good times.

Silsbee at WOS

Post game meal at Whataburger

Saturday afternoon UIL Band Contest at PNG

Dinner at the Wheelhouse or Pour Neches. Any locals have a recommendation?

Haven't been to Wheelhouse in several years, and never been to Pour Neches, but you'll definitely see the locals there.  Sea Ranch Cafe on Magnolia is similar to but not the same as Bayou Cafe, and Redbird bbq is "downtown" but check the hours.
