Sleeper Teams

Who’s your sleeper for next year? The team that could take the next step? I’m thinking Zavalla. Got some talent coming back and Leland Hand will be doing the head coaching…. Also Diboll should take a step forward. Lots of young talent in the near future.

WO-S will be an interesting one. They were 3rd in district last year (7-5) and were young. DJ will have them playing hard. But they are small. Unless they have a move in or two, size will be an issue.

I was told the freshman kid will be on varsity. He is '6"6.

I called 2+ district wins last season. They were less than 10 possessions from accomplishing that prediction.

District will expand this year with the top 3 teams out ahead of everyone. I can see where they could be in play for the fourth playoff spot. But the minimum goal for this years squad is 3+ district wins.
