He was my first concert at the Port Arthur Civic Center I believe in 1978-79.  If only back then I knew I was watching a legend in the making.  The poor guy had the worst luck plus bad decisions, but there are too many people who don't realize all the hit songs he wrote that other people sang.....

RIP
