They couldn’t improve on the design, so they upgraded the engines (to Rolls Royce in 2027) and the electronics. How impressive is this? Quote

The communists still hold the North, and they’d take the South tomorrow if we weren’t still standing guard 70 years later. Vietnam… that’s an “L,” brother. Iraq… I’d say 1991 was a win, technically, even if we didn’t take out saddam. But the second time? WMDs weren’t found. That’s another L. Afghanistan… seeing as to how our friends were falling off the last flight out and the Taliban took back over instantly, that’s an L, too. I guess you measures wins in some means other than “we accomplished what we set out to do.” Korea and Vietnam were wins, pure and simple. Of course some people love to ignore facts because for some reason it makes them feel good for some reason to say, well we lost one. In Gulf War I and II the enemy surrendered. How do you lose a war when the enemy surrenders? thetragichippy 1 Quote

How do you lose a war when the enemy surrenders? Also forgot Operation Just Cause. There are also untold number of operations going on regularly in Central America. How many people are even aware we have regular activity via Costa Rica against all sorts of issues? Costa Rica has no military. They are a declared neutral country. But, we regularly 'train' in country, and perform various 'training ops.' We have since at least the early '80's. There are multiple ops going on in many areas on a regular basis. They're not headline grabbing. They're not supposed to be headline grabbing. They're not supposed to be noticed at all. That means success. Quote

People in America take for granted how good we have it. I wonder if they would appreciate America if they spent a year in Israel having to hide in bomb shelter as a normal routine....... Quote
