I am proud I advocated for the young man all along. Sometimes I felt like I was the only one who did. I always wanted the best for him, and I always wanted continuity for him. You are wrong. You are completely misunderstanding everything. Go back and look ALL YOU WANT.

I hate for anyone getting an unfair bar set too high (like saying a 9th grader could start for any TX 6A, etc.). Hype like that was ridiculous and counterproductive. I always said I wanted the best for the young man, period. I stand by that 100%. The past three years of travelling look rough, IMO. This year had ups and downs, but he is rockin' now. I am beyond happy for him and the whole team. Lastly, before you or anyone else try's to put any other false words in my mouth, I never ever called for any benching's or any thing remotely like that. There is nothing wrong with simply discussing the other QB, especially when he had came back in. Tap the brakes and get your facts straight.
