ThaGod409 Posted 23 hours ago Report Posted 23 hours ago WB 67 Humble 65 Garret Game winner at the buzzer Quote
Kowboy98 Posted 23 hours ago Report Posted 23 hours ago WB 68 Humble 65 Garrett had at least 35 plus a buzzer beater to end it. He’s coming back to his old form. And fast Quote
ThaGod409 Posted 23 hours ago Report Posted 23 hours ago Did humble have some move ins or anything became WB beat them by 30 last year Quote
AggiesAreWe Posted 22 hours ago Author Report Posted 22 hours ago Two games. OT and buzzer beater against 4A and Humble who is picked not to make playoffs. Is that the resume of a 5A #1 team? Asking for a friend. BMTSoulja1 1 Quote

Birdville, BU, Frisco Memorial and several others are wayyy better and it’s not even close They are a one man show. Yes, as you are asking they aren’t worthy of a Top 5 ranking. 3 games played with a group of 4 or so transfers - they should be beating everyone by 40. Quote

OT wins and buzzer beaters show they finish, they compete, and they don’t fold under pressure. And last I checked, rankings are earned over time, not off two box scores. Kowboy98 1 Quote

Three games in or thirty — the film will speak louder than anybody’s opinion. Birdville, BU, Frisco Memorial… care good teams and well deserving but last I checked, games aren’t won on paper or in comment sections We’ll see who’s “way better” once the season actually unfolds. Until then, dropping a team to #20 for winning their games is wild. Quote

I’ll apologize - it was a sarcastic response to Mr Aggie indicating they struggled with HJ and Humble - so they are right where they need to be ranked or lower. I’ve said many times I disagree to the TABC rankings and think GASO’s ranking are more realistic (WB #2). Although they haven’t updated them through this first week of play Mamba 1 Quote

Mamba, my comment was for Kowboy who criticized me for not having WB #1. You know me better than to define a team off of just two games. My comments were on the sarcastic side. Mamba 1 Quote

In all seriousness this is a different West Brook team, I think United transition was easy , you bring in 2 really good guards with a big who can clear the paint, and add two glue guys and your right back in the mix. Iykyk Coach has always favored guards!!!! AggiesAreWe 1 Quote

Dallas Kimball’s coach will expose this Quote

One who was a starter (king) and Manuel who was getting minutes ! Do you start king and have the smallest backcourt in the state with him and Coleman ? Mamba 1 Quote
AggiesAreWe Posted 1 hour ago Author Report Posted 1 hour ago I just saw the stats for this game on RCS. West Brook shot 65% from the field and 52% from three. That is a fantastic shooting night but yet needed a buzzer beating shot to win the game. That's kind of scary. Typically a team shooting that well doesn't struggle to win that game. Humble shot 46% from field. One could say if WB shot the ball at a normal clip (45-55%) they probably lose the game. WB did turn it over 14 times to Humble 7. Quote

I was told from a RELIABLE and reputable source that the HJ and this game went almost the same. HJ and this game vs Humbe…. Both teams played above their heads and badly missed shots. So I’d assume that teams go all out for the defending state champs. If that’s the case, this WB team will be very prepared come district time and playoffs… Mamba 1 Quote

That’s tough—there just aren’t enough minutes to go around. With 8‑minute quarters, the game flies by. I noticed Tillman, Jones, and Coleman were on the floor almost the entire time. So what happens with guards like Etienne and Green? Do they end up on JV once King, Manuel, and the QB return? The depth is great, but the reality is there just aren’t enough minutes. It makes you deeper, sure—but man, I don’t know !!! Quote

Watching those games, it felt like WB should’ve handled those opponents easily. But turnovers—especially the unforced ones—were a major issue. Think about it: the opponents actually won the turnover battle and still couldn’t pull out the win. That’s because against a WB squad, you have to play nearly perfect basketball on a team that hasn’t gelledyet . On paper, this team is more talented than last year, but they haven’t reached that “better” level just yet. AggiesAreWe 1 Quote

That is unheard of shooting that well. Quote
