Kingwood has a good club. Shame of it is, with King the way they are this year, Kingwood may be the odd man out, even though they could probably make PO’s in multiple other R3 districts.

KW was supposed to be the "odd man out" last year too but they went 4 rounds deep. They beat Clear Springs, FB Elkins, and Strake in the playoffs.

I like Kingwood. But, the safe bet is still to think they're the odd man out. They may have a slim chance against Atascocita as bad as the Eagles D is this year, and they almost took them down last year. But, I don't think Kingwood has quite as good a run game this year. They are very disciplined though, and have a chance to slow down Mack. They could sneak up on NS I guess. But, I think that's less likely than Atascocita. I don't see any way they compete with King this year. King has some studs, and may be the best team in 23-6A this year. I think King can take Summer Creek. But, that's going to be a tussle and a definite Game of the Week to me.

To me, 23-6A is lining up:

King, SC, NS, with Atascocita/Kingwood battling for the 4 seed.

It's Summer Creek's district to lose. They are so loaded.

CE King is looking good but their defense will be their downfall in games vs. the likes of SC.

Summer Creek does get King at home as well. That may make a little difference. But, I don't think SC's D is quite as good this year as it has been the last couple. Didn't they lose a bunch of D1 talent on D to graduation? The only team with a somewhat pulse SC has played so far is Shadow Creek, and that was 37-32.
