Kevin Herron resigned and is going to Poolville ISD. Will be an interesting hire that should get a lot of attention in the bball world.

I heard a couple have interviewed and that one turned it down.. I am surprised they have not promoted Jackson to AD yet with it being kind of late in the year now.

Great facilities? Sure the gym is nice and the school is nice but have you seen the weight room? Have you seen the baseball and softball fields? Great wouldn't be the word I use.

Seems like the most logical thing to do. Next year will be his tenth year at the district, and has done more than enough proving himself.

I have only really seen the gym and inside the school, haven't seen their weight room.

He is not. He is standalone AD and will be hiring a head basketball coach

Isn't he a assistant coach? How is that gonna work being the boss of his head coaches he assists?

I’m assuming he won’t be an assistant anymore.

Hopefully this works out for them, does not seem like it was a very smooth process throughout. I can't believe Jackson did not get it with him having been there for awhile and having the most success out of all the programs in his tenure.

 

It would have made more sense if they wanted to keep it a basketball guy, but to just separate it from a sport completely is a strange look.
