AggiesAreWe Posted January 16, 2025 Report Posted January 16, 2025 With the first half of district play closing out this Friday and Saturday (except 23-3A and 25-2A), we have some games that will determine who is a top their respective districts. Here are those games: 23-6A Atascocita (6-0) at Summer Creek (5-1) Atascocita can be all alone in 1st with a win. Summer Creek can make it a three way tie for first at 6-1 with Cita and CE King as long as CE King defeats Goose Creek Memorial. 19-5A West Brook (6-0) at United (5-1) West Brook with a win can go thru first half of district undefeated. United with a win will force a tie for first with West Brook but will have the advantage of having the head to head win. 18-4A Vidor (4-1) at Silsbee (5-0) Silsbee win gives them a two game lead thru first half of district play. A Vidor win will tie Silsbee a top the standings and give them the head to head advantage going into 2nd half of play. 22-3A Kountze (6-0) at Orangefield (5-1) Kountze with a win will wrap up an undefeated first half of district play. An Orangefield win could create a three way tie for first with Kountze and East Chambers at 6-1 as long as EC defeats Anahuac. Another important game is in 19-4A. It's for current 2nd place outright. Livingston (4-1) at Hamshire-Fannett (4-1). A win by either keeps them in the district championship hunt. Some very good games on tap for this weekend. Thoughts? Quote
BMTSoulja1 Posted January 17, 2025 Report Posted January 17, 2025 @AggiesAreWe I don’t think so. BU has not lost to WB in district play. So a BU win I would think would just be a flat out tie… Quote

And I know United has not lost to West Brook in district play due to this being their first time to play in district this year. Duh BMTSoulja1 1 Quote

I initially thought you were talking about WB having the advantage. Quote

I need to check out some 6A games finally. Might start on Saturday. Did SC switch their HC again? Quote

Did SC switch their HC again? Yes. It's his first year. I think SC matches up better with Cita than CE King but if Cita is hitting their three's, I see another double digit win for Cita.
