I am not saying they have any answers but the GOP is useless. What we’ve seen play out for decades is the good cop bad cop scenario play out between the parties and nothing gets accomplished. Our government is broken and it has been designed that way by people over the decades that are useless leeches. I am not saying the world is coming to an end at least not yet but there could be some disruptions because of the fuel situation caused by this stupid war.

I agree with everything you said except for stupid war. As crazy as the prices have been affected, especially gas/diesel, this war was going to be fought at some place in history. Negotiating with terrorists has never proven to bring results.

I’ve noticed lots of democrat hopefuls have changed their tune on trans and (men) in women’s sports just before mid terms. How convenient. Talarico has said he’s against it when safety and fairness are involved. Such broad statements leave a lot to be desired. Typical snake oil salesman.

i hope the war is over soon and we can focus on getting prices down. It will be interesting to see what dems have to offer. Mostly, their speeches will be anti-Trump. I think even the dem voters are tired of hearing that.

Supposedly we obliterated Iran’s nuclear capabilities last summer per Trump.  What changed from June last summer to February this year? I do not trust our government period! So my opinion is it’s a stupid war. Trust but verify. Where’s the solid evidence this war was justifiable? I know it’s too top secret for people to see. Look at our congress already shutting down our majority till the midterms!! What happened to the Save Act? Like I’ve said before I have never seen a country so determined to destroy itself whether be Republican or Democrat. They are just private parties who look after their own interests and not the American people.

American wages as a share of the economy have fallen while corporate profits remain incredibly high and growing daily

Why aren't we putting more of that money back into the American workers who keep these companies running?

I work 12+ hour days and nights, and I know plenty of people doing the same thing who are still struggling just to get by. I've watched grown men come out of retirement because they simply can't afford to stay retired. People are working overtime, missing time with their families, wearing their bodies down, and still wondering if they're going to have enough money at the end of the month.

Meanwhile, corporations continue making enormous profits and returning money to shareholders.

I'm not a political person, and I never will be. I don't blindly believe what either side tells me. I'm not interested in Republican vs. Democrat. I support what is right.

And I believe if someone is willing to work hard, especially 12+ hours a day-they should be able to afford a decent life, provide for their family, save some money, and eventually retire without having to come back to work just to survive.

Most working people aren't asking to be rich.

We just want our hard work to actually mean something.

Well, I’d call that preaching to the choir. We’ve all had to make sacrifices for our families, they come first. I wondered sometime if we’d make it, but you keep plugging and you will. Told my loan officer I wasn’t sure if I could make my truck note when I got demoted one time. He let me pay just the interest and moved my payments to the end, lengthening my payments. Funny what can happen if you simply talk to people. I put my 401k in high risk and it paid off. The only reason I’d go back to work is boredom, and I ain’t that bored. lol

As a whole there are a lot of hard working people out there that are trying to do all the right things that are struggling to make ends meet. South Carolina gas is up 51% in one week.  I have never witnessed anything like this.  Praying for the struggling families who are barely getting by and for the American farmers and truck drivers.  Food prices are ridicules.

This also marks the biggest monthly increase since March 2025.

The CC spike started years ago and has been climbing steadily and has not stopped under Trump. 

The big issues with CC debt is when people get behind or start putting groceries on CC's it is easy to max out or live above your means. Then when they realize they are maxed out on all their CC's, They come to me (a bank) and want an unsecured loan at a lower interest rate to pay off their debt. Usually by that time they have been late on their payments lowering their credit score or maxing out the CC's caused them to be over their debt to income percent..... usually meaning we can't offer a loan to them.

And something else - Back in the day - if you decided just to not pay a CC balance off, it would hit your credit and the CC company wrote it off as a loss and that was it.   In the last few years, CC companies are now getting judgements and garnishing checking accounts, freezing whatever they have in them.  That is devastating to someone living paycheck to paycheck.  Unfortunately, I have had to have several of those conversations.

I refuse to believe that you are as thick headed as you pretend. The numbers were not pulled from thin air. They were not proved to be true. His testimony was not a lie, it was inaccurate. Wrong. Read this report.
