I just don't consider SS, Medicare, retirement/401 K taxes.  Those are a benefit you will be receiving back.  

 

What would you consider to be fair taxes paid? The next question would be what services would you recommend cutting that was paid by the taxes you want to remove?

The insurance I was referring too was health insurance. The numbers posted are not far off. I believe the whole point of the post was there was not much left to live on after being taxed into an oblivion. 
 

You are going to tell me that a country that spends 2 trillion more a year than it takes in is a good thing because it’s providing services?! 😂🤣😂

Well I guess I could flip that question and say show me where all the taxes that are being charged are spent in a justifiable manner and are not be misused . Kinda of a vague open ended question that has countless variables. 

I would say a good start would be stop spending more than you take in , kinda like most families and businesses do. 

Don’t forget the tax that is not even voted on - Inflation - for spending more than you take in and devaluing the dollar.

I bet if you reread my response you will have no supporting responses from me that supports that accusation.

All I've said is your original comment about taxes was inflated, and I didn't consider social security and Medicare as a tax, but a benefit.  I also mentioned a way to avoid home and car insurance. 

I get cost of living and gas prices are high right now, as it has been for the last 5.5 years. While we are not in Utopia, I'm not eating beans and rice or diving into my savings or keeping balances on any credit card.  So, I'm not to the doom and gloom yet.

Not a very motley crew.  Wouldn't trust any of them at the time.  I think Rubio has seen the light.  I'd trust Miller, at that time, over any of them!  And I trust him now!

My original post was a copy and paste. I made that known. But the take home pay is not that far off. Neither I nor you know what state this individual is from but the additional things that we are taxed on are legitimate taxes. I made a guess of NC.  I believe the reason of the post as I read it was we are taxed to the hilt and not much is left over after being taxed only to be taxed some more when you try to spend what’s left over. Some people are in better situations than others but a lot of Americans are struggling. I will not sit by and be a cheerleader for this administration if basic necessities keep rising in price. I am happy that you are in a good financial situation but I do have sympathy for people whose wages can’t keep up with the inflation we’ve had the last 5.5 years. You can you only stretch your pay so far before it just doesn’t stretch anymore. 

 

By the way we will be eating red beans and rice tonight. They’ve been cooking all day in the crockpot. 😎

His voting record is what counts. Nuff said. You still can’t tell me why Trump wants him out because Trump has never said why he wants out besides Massie not voting for crap bills. Massie has always pushed for line item voting.

Oh there’s sausage in there but it’s Market Basket Sausage which is pretty good imo.
