if K-Ville moves to 2A i feel for that 2A district, cause it means EC and K-Ville are locks for the playoffs, and with Buna on the up-and-up you might not have a chance to even think playoffs.

That also means that Newton will join that district

Im really oblivious to how they will realign WB and PAM?...does anyone know if it will look the same or change a bit?...it would be ideal for WB to have the same district minus Channelview because of their low numbers...that way Stump could have his wish of playing Westfield and Lufkin in regular season games

well if Lufkin doesnt go into the old East Texas district expect WB and PAM to be hitting the Hwy on up 69 to Lufkin.

personally my gut feeling says this will be the new district

They will not move up or down, nor will they be in a district different than WOS.  The realignment numbers show them to have more students than WOS.  If Jasper and Silsbee stay in the disrict, they will still be the two largest schools, then BC then WOS.

Bridge City currently is not close to 4A or 2A enrollment.  They should remain in 3A, and I don't see why they would be moved to another district.  In years to come, they might move up to 4A, but not soon.

Kville is not dropping they are going to stay where they folks sorry to hurt your feelings. Granted that would be sweat to get the old district back but i just dont see it happening folks. They still have an enrollment over 400.

If I remember right Orangefield was much closer to droppin to 2A last time around. Think they missed the cut by around 20 kids.

joking joking..but i think Stump would like that because we wouldnt have to worry about scheduling Lufkin and Westfield...haha but we would have to get some high profile teams like maybe Katy to play us...Stump can make it possible

I know you don't want Kirbyville in 2A, but Buna and Anahuac were over 400 last realignment (413 and 402).  Kirbyville may not be below the 3A-2A line, but I bet they will be closer than last time (453).

I would like to see 21-AAA split up.  H-F was dead last last year and 2 of the three wins were against the 1st and 3rd place teams out of 22-AAA.  21-AAA has 5 good teams this year and two are going to stay home after week 10.  Real good teams are sitting at home out of 21-AAA while some real bad teams are getting to play on.

Where do you think the new Kingwood high school will be? I hear ther have 4A numbers. I believe it is Kingwood Park and they are supposed to have a varsity program starting next season.

    • We'll see. I don't trust us.
    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
