Guest abovetherim Posted October 23, 2007 Report Posted October 23, 2007 Lamar Women's Basketball Seek Increased Season Ticket Sales Lady Cards host 13 regular season games Oct. 23, 2007 BEAUMONT - With the beginning of the 2007-08 women's basketball season just around the corner, the push to sell season tickets is in full swing for head coach Larry Tidwell and the Lady Cardinals. End court tickets are available for $50 apiece, while side court tickets are available for $75 each. Family packs, which include two adults and three dependents, are available for $250. The Lady Cardinals home schedule features 13 regular season contests at the Montagne Center, as well as a pair of exhibition games in the beginning of November. The regular season will tip off on Saturday November 10 at 4 p.m. against LSU Shreveport. The Lady Cards return four letter winners from a year ago, including 2006-07 freshman of the year Brittney Williams. Joining the four veterans will be 10 newcomers who will look to help change the face of Lamar women's basketball. "We sold less than 40 season tickets a year ago, and our goal is to sell 1,000 season tickets this year," Tidwell said. "We want to lead the nation in increased attendance this year. We need to have the same amount of energy in the stands as we are going to put on the floor for every game."
