I just watched the interview and think that HJ did a great job on clearly stating that they are ready to play. The comment by BJIMBO about WO-S blowing the lead to lose in 2014 was worse than any other post on this thread! Very uncalled for. Remember that those young men gave all they had and if one wants to speak of karma or being arrogant then what happens when you joke about someones misfortune? I would refer to that as being the rear end of a donkey with diarrhea!

"It would be an upset if WOS won" is apart of the quote that was inserted from 78Stang after she saw the same interview.  WOS fired first with the smack talk so you can save that UNCALLED remark for somebody else.   All I did was reply to it. Glad it got your attention!

why is this thread 3 pages long WOS will be up 56-0 at half, similar to HF... IDK what they do in the second half , because I haven't seen them play this year, but I'm guessing they let their 7th grade B team have at HF in the 2nd half since I believe it only went from like 62-0 to a 68-0 final. Anyways , if they do that again then same result, 56-0 or 62-0 at half, come out and just shut HJ down in the second half but won't put up too many more scores, unless HJ set the WOS squad off with their boasting , i didn't see the video of the coach and players talking , so IDK if they were really boasting im just going by what i read on here... if thats the case this game could be 70-0 77-0 no one on HJ team is capable of scoring against WOS, #6 is too slow, #12 isn't terrible but he's too slow, and i saw #1 gettin some carries he's aight but if c tyler from silsbee couldn't score, neither can any of these guys...

WO-S and HJ have a strong rivalry throughout the years there’s no doubt about it. I’m not sure what the final score will be between the two teams however, I expect WO-S will win this game. The game I am looking forward to in district this year is Liberty on Oct. 28th. I’m interested to see the exceptional running back, and outstanding quarterback that we have been reading about on a few threads. I would like to see if he (RB) can get more yardage that Tyler from Silsbee got a few weeks ago, or if he will be in for a rude awakening against the Stang defense.

Well, while I think boasting should have some sensible limitation I can't say I blame them for trying to show confidence going into Friday's game.  I would think less of Coach Sloan if he went on area wide television and stated that he thought WO-S was gonna kick their butts.

Anyway, WO-S showed how they handle those that wish to boast too much.

Watched the video.Never did see or hear where they boasted about anything.

"Thanks for clarifying. So I should just expect 60 ish to 0 not 80 ish to 0?"

Tx Panther, the only thing you should expect is to be 8-1 going into the last district game and come out of it 8-2 with a 3rd place finish.  One game at a time buddy.  Good luck

i mean no disrespect here but if you would like to put your money where your mouth is , let me know, liberty will finish 2nd in this district,

    • We'll see. I don't trust us.
    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
