badndn Posted August 3, 2014 Report Posted August 3, 2014 So lets have the parents make up for the theft that has beffuddled the district for the last decade. Too Legit...Too Legit to Quit. 77 and thetragichippy 2 Quote
Eazy Posted August 3, 2014 Report Posted August 3, 2014 If you already have health insurance, then you should be able to decline this unnecessary coverage. thetragichippy 1 Quote
prepballfan Posted August 3, 2014 Report Posted August 3, 2014 This is directly related to the other activities going on over the past several months??? I feel for sure it is!!! Quote
butta Posted August 3, 2014 Report Posted August 3, 2014 Fundraise, get a sponsor.... Surely some of the plants down there would like to jump in and help cover the cost (or should). The faults of the adults should not effect (affect) the students. Quote

CraigS Posted August 4, 2014 Report Posted August 4, 2014 Here is a thought (for all schools) why not have players pay for all of their own uniforms, insurance, etc. After all, there are several groups (non athletic of course) that already have to do that. Then we can see who puts their money where their mouth is...EDUCATION FIRST....hence the "STUDENT" athlete. All the savings can go to new computer labs, higher teachers wages, etc. After all, isn't that what most people are complaining about with BISD. They stole from the kids, depriving them of a good education....fire the admin, not the teachers, who provide the kids with an education.... Amphibious Rodent and Ty Cobb 2 Quote
queenb77630 Posted August 7, 2014 Report Posted August 7, 2014 I can't say for other districts, and I'm new to the High School football program as a parent (my son is just now a Freshman) but I know for Middle School, there were countless fund raisers every year to earn money for the athletics dept. I can only assume that the same will happen for the High School. Time will tell. Quote
