2. Careful . . . . last time this subject was mentioned it was deleted!  Guess we are hiding things around here. . . .
3. Been waiting for this one!  Shepherd took a step back this week but so did Cleveland!  Shepherd beat Huffman, Cleveland did not.  IMO, Shepherd has a good chance to win this one at home and get into the playoffs.  Who ya got?
4.
Hmm did some school dist play a ineligible player w/penalties pending ???
read this and thought a team was in trouble
5. any body looking for a easy win? play clevelands JV team!
6. no discusion needed here. Huffman is WAY to much for cleve.  i have been wrong in the past but huffman has an offense that will destroy the cleve def. There def will stop indian offence too! Take that to the bank  Huiffman 51 cleveland 2
7.
Tarkington Fish 22 Cleveland Fish 19 Final
just a lil taste of whats coming to ya. get ready cleve cuz Tarkington gonna whip ya tomorow.
8. 1 more thought before the whipping takes place. Honcho, you keep actin like hj isnt very good.  if they pull out one more upset they could be in the playoffs. last week they beat one of the areas top teams (east Chabers). an upset? yes but still they won. theres a guy on cl;eveland staff that hasnt been able to beat EC in quite some time. The choke bug travels . . . . think it mite show up this week?
9.

Your right Stangbacker let Cleveland play that thump, thump. That's right y’all beat them last year.  Remember the Indians beat the Longhorns 70-12 last year.  Cleveland returned nine on Defense and two on offense.  I think the Indians offense is not as good as last but the defense is better.    My prediction is that yes it will be a good game but Cleveland pre-district schedule has prepared them for Friday night.  Sealy, Madisonville, and Kirbyville are all playoff teams.  Who have y’all played that will make the playoffs.  And don’t say HJ because Cleveland dominated them in their scrimmage.
Madisonville is not going to the playoffs and the other two are not locks.
^^^ true^^^ u act like cleve has already beaten playoff teams.  madisonville will not make the playoffs, sealy might get in the playoffs and kirbyville will have an tuff time getting in with their tough district.  you didn't metnion the team clev just played.  how about washington? they lost to a 5A team that tarkington put away easily.  Clevland was actually in a position to lose to them from what I understand. The more i have looked at cleveland history i believe more an more that tarkington stands a great chance in this game.  Hoping that cleve fumbles the ball like they have and the longhorns will capitalize on that weak defense. Game will kick off soon, get ready clevland its time to accept a loss to tarkington!
10.
Combined win loss record for the teams clleveland has played is 7-7 the combined record tarkington has played is 4-10 Don't know much about strength of schedule but I think it favors the Indians
Instead of strength of schedule look at actual numbers.  Tarkington avg 26 on offense and 15 on def.  Cleveland 22 off and 15 def.  tarkington has faced better defenses than clev. Seems like it might be a defense game but I still think clev def will not stop tarkington.  I also think tarkintgon plays better def than what the indians have faced this year.  I am sure cleveland doesn't mind losing though . . . . they get to start bball sooner.
11.
As with most young teams, Tarkington's play has been inconsistent, but improving weekly. I don't know if they will beat Cleveland, but I expect a competitive game and I expect more victories this year. Someone said they would go 3-3 in district, which is a realistic expectation. We'll see which column this week's game goes into on Friday night. One difference observed this year at Tarkington is that these guys believe they can win, even if they are behind, and there's always a chance they will. Cleveland has good athletes and coaches, and I think they have the best chance of being the third or perhaps the second place team in district this year, but you never know. That's why we play the games on Friday night.
Just looking at each teams schedules up to now, Cleveland has played teams that are traditionally good but are not very good this year (Kirbyville, madisonville, Sealy). Lost to one and won another in OT. Tarkington beat a 5a team last week. Maybe 42 is too much in your opinion but just watch. Longhorns are city champs this year by a large margin. Write it down.
12. Cleveland's defense hasn't faced an offense like Tarkington. I don't think they can stop the longhorns. I am also willing to bet that if Tarkington gets up on them, the tribe won't be able to overcome it. Longhorn offense is too much for Cleveland. Tarkington 42 - 12
13. Coach Huck, you have done a great job with the Bobcats.  You will be missed around there! Whoever takes the job will have big shoes to fill. Is there anyone on staff to take over or will they post the job?  If it is posted, who are the front runners?  I have my pick!  ;)
14. I know Pachuca has ties to Deweyville but Cauthern would be a great hire.  If they get him, expect the Pirates to improve quite a bit!
15. I think Jasper admin saw what happened at Hardin and don't want that to happen to them. Not to mention the dilemma they had last year with the hiring.
Is this the same Bo Robinson that was at Bangs?
Yes - see article. ]
17.
can anybody confirm Wades hire
Actually, the Piggly Wiggly was already scheduled for Clayton Bigsby's book signing.  I don't think you have the correct information.  I do hear that a "large" gathering of sorts was spotted at Jenny's Fried Chicken.
18. I like the music!!  Made me feel like a kid again!!
19. First of all, Woodville "should have" beaten Newton and Anahuac is a false statement.  In both games, they were up by two scores (three on Anahuac if they make the XP) and in both games they were simply outplayed and gave the lead away!  A lack of depth can not be an excuse in 2A ball.  Newton and Anahuac both have players that play on both sides of the ball - just like Woodville. That being said, Woodville is definitley the team to watch next year.  They return the heart of their team and their athletes!!  They are going to be good!! I say they are first place in the district going into the 2011 season. Woodville has a good shot of winning against Buna but Buna is playing just as good right now after an impressive win against EC! I am going to take Woodville 27-20.
20. Doesn't matter when or where - Kville will knock the BROWN outta Brownsboro!!
21.
Anahuac and everyone else can call EC "Co-champs" all they want, as long as EC beats Warren. EC would have the districts #1 seed and first round bye, and thats all that matters. Having the #1 seed last year let EC avoid Kirbyville in the first week, and EC ended up in the 3rd round. GO BUCS!
Actually, Anahuac played Kirbyville last year because they were the D1 seed - EC was outright district champs but was the first seed in Division 2.  Last year they were outright champs - this year, CO champs!!  Couldn't take care of business in Buna. I am pulling for EC in the playoffs though!!  Be careful, a bye isn't always a good thing.  I hope EC doesn't come out flat!  Good luck in the playoffs!!
22. Hardin will be a tough test for Anahuac defensively however Anahuac will prevail!! That being said, Hardin may have 4 yards rushing but passing, they will find their target.  I still say Wac by 21+
