Ask the coach where your son or daughter needs to improve to get some PT, and then work with your child in that aspect of his/her game. There are starters, reserves, and bench warmers in sports... Work and ethic gets you off the bench when natural talent, that the coaches recognize, is not there. I have seen some talented kids overlooked!!! DO NOT ask the coach "WHY DOESN'T MY CHILD GET PLAYING TIME," THAT'S RUDE....Ask tcoach where does your child need to imporve.. He might get time just because of the way you ask!

Soulja... I am bald now... I had a full head of hair... I understood we needed Thomas on D, but he was the only back producing... We needed to put some space between us and LCM second half and we didn't use the best weapon we had. Stowers had another big defensive coaching game... great work, that hook and lateral was a great call that should have beat us.... But the defensive call was good and executed well. But STILL no head cracking hits!!! Sorry Frog, but this year you have been a little ginger running the ball. I would probally be the same way if I had broke my leg. Frog is still a force in open space... it seems to reason that we would screen and reverse teams to death with him... Al la Lindale White and Reggie Bush (Hall & Thomas). Offensive stradegy will be our downfall this year... Hopefully we get it together. Hey and one suggestion Hall... Cut up field!!!! It is uncanny how CHS can put anyone back to return kicks and I mean anyone... I have seen at least seven different returners of punts and kicks and they all look as if they could take it all the way.... SPEED like that!

I know you guys have not been winners in the past and I know it feel sgood to get the win. BUT, you guys need to cool it... It is about 7 L-town threads already.... It's hard to be losers but its even harded to be good winners.. Very big win for your school... Take it with pride and respect and preparde for the next district battle!

Congrats Lumberton... I have been saying that Dayton caught this district on a down year last year... We will bring it all back to perspective this year. Dayton will recover but the other teams has to be strong too!.... Welcome to 22-4A Dayton! Good luck on the rest of this years campaign!

I went saw Central in some west of Conroe one year.... That was two and 1/2 hour drive... but I would go to irving to see them in state!

NEd is a good team... and a proven winner... Not here to bash just tell the Truth... Go Jags...

Yes I have been at all the games and Central has dominated.... But I wasn't talking about MC vs. Central... I was talking about the play-offs. Central makes the MC teams look like they are running in mud (no offence meant Mid County)... An equally athletic team with good coaches would be able to beat my JAGS on the coaching side of the game... In MC case they could out coach an equally talented team... Stowers is a great coach, and probally will out defensively coach many coaches... The offense is a different story. That is what I mean when I say significant holes... Central for instance needs an Offensive coordinator... Just talking about my own school which I am very knowledgable about! i will Give Ozen time but right now their Offense isn't fluid either. They may fall into the same hole as Central has been in for years... Great Defensive Coordinators turned head coaches make very competitive teams... But can they win without a equally good or adequate offensive coordinator. Central hasn't been able to overcome that hurdle!! All their head coaches were great defensive coordinators... With no offensive game! Very competitive but not great!

One more note and this is just one mans opinion.... If there was less ethnic seperation in this area, I believe that there would be all world teams here. Great football teams historically are built with players from both white and black ethnic backgrounds. I think the game needs the diversity and it would do nothing but increase the stregnth of this district. Yes Ned and PNG have been great exceptions in the past but let's talk TODAYS game....

Moderate... There is enough talent on some teams and enough coaching on others for this district's best to compete in the third round of the PO... Don't think there is much else. Ned (best coaching staff) & PNG have the tradition and maybe it will shine in the near future but it wont be this year. Dayton has great atheletes and decent coaching, so they can make a push. Central and OZen have superb athletic talent but significant gaps in their coaching staff. LCM is a well put together team but only a second teer program. Lumberton has a great stradegy and game plan minus the atheletes. Vidor has the heart and grit minus the atheletes. IU thing the area can be great, but for now it is moderate at best. I think the indivisual talent is all world and there will be good college football PLAYERS in tyhis district.

The little article in Orange about the WOS program was worst than this OKST article. I did not believe that columnist was wrong nor do I think the OK columnist was wrong. That is the pressure of being a gifted athelete in a world where it is profitable when you entertain. Highschool games create revenue as well as college and definitely the pros. I was critiqued as a grade schooler whether I could perform in excelled classes. I didn't cry, my parents didnt go to the enterprise with the stroy, I went out there and performed. I was in 6th grade!15 years later I am a 3.0 graduate from college in Chemical engineering working for industry. Every performer gets critiqued get over it! I can't wait for that Coors light commercial too! lol

Oklahoma should be mad that their in-town programs recruiters shop Texas harder than their home town crop. That is probally why they don't care about Fridays... They don't want those kids anyway.

You couldn't have watched TJ Ford, Tac Minor (unreal on the highschool level; once score 100+ points, had 20+ assist and 10+ rebounds in a game vs Houston Jones and juniot sensation Daneil Gibson and Tac is only 5'8"), Carlos Hurt, Rashard Lewis, or Emanuel McEroy in Highschool!! In Highschool Ivan McFarlin was a beast... on the same level as Bosh but he is just not the pro Bosh is... Bosh is a great pro but as far as highschool I have seen a plethora of kids better than Bosh was!! Don't forget when i say that MJ did not even start in Highschool. Some kids game just doesn't transcend... But Bosh was not the BEST highscool kid you had seen if you saw anyone of these players!
