3. Memorial hasn't beaten Central since Jamal left, thiis year won't change the trend!!!
4. In honor of "The Babe" I declare we call the new stadium "The Butch"!!!!! Truthfully, it is hard to say that entire name every time I refer to the stadium!!!  :-\ WAAAYYY too long!  ;D So, I will be at "The Butch!" next weekend, Happy Football!
5. Leave the panther and the bruin to fight over the 50 yard line... The Jags will make a home in the endzone!
6. Gotta save or pay 10 Mil in luxury tax!!!! Melo is out the question if we resign Yao!
7. [Hidden Content] Life is full of swift transitions!!! my prayers are with the family!
8. Well I can see the boys beating up on the girls any day...  BUT 3A and lower would have more trouble.  It is alot about coaching too! I would say the 3A teams could win but 4A and 5A are no doubts.  #A and lower would pound the girls in transition though!    The 6'10" for Bush would pose the girls BIG problems! The tall guards for Bush would be equally hard to handle and the speed would finish them off.  I can't see a girls team handling Yates press, that is the end.  Everyone reads the roster sheet and think Yates is this college team with all that size but they are not.  But there are five guards that make this team go ranging from 5'8 to 6'3!!!  The athleticism of Elton Roy, Brandon Peters, and Joseph Young would be too much for the girls to handle!!! Most people don't know unless they watch Yates... But that team is at its best when they go four to five guards on the court!!! They try to leave the 6'7" kid on the floor but they are tough when those 6'3, 6'3, 6'2, & 5'8 guards are on the court at the same time! (Roy, Young, Peters, and Gardner)
9.

Basically you are saying that the UCONN Girls can beat a Mens college team because basically that is what Yates is.
No they're not
Double no they are not!!!
10. 1. Jamaal Charles - PA Memorial - His Junior and Senior playoff runs were off the charts 2. Leeland McElroy - Central - individually was one of the most impressive high school backs.  Only probllem was he had good size yet would shy away from contact. 3. Christine Michael - West Brook - The most pro-style running back the area has scene since Joe Washington.  Physical speciman with a mean streak! 4. Shanderrick Charles was phenomenal and most forget about him because his college career was cut short.  He could have had a highly decorated college career with a big pro buzz if he was more durable.  By far the prettiest runner out of them all, nobody had dance like this kid... NOBODY had a better stiff arm...
11. I know Anthony is from Arkansas and Augustine is froim the NO!!!!  Both played Texas Highschool ball and neither went to a school in their home state.  There should be some way to influence transfer kids and local to come to Texas.  And Texas' current roster is littered with West Coast recruits and none are from the east coast.  The only real east coast impact players that Barnes as pulled is Durant, PJ Tucker, James Thomas, and Royal Ivy (outside of Durant none were highly ranked and all were recruited over six years ago)!!!!  East coast kids want to be in the big east and A10, and the ACC. The majority of the kids Barnes gets are west coast and southerners!!!  Like the football team, the best kids in Texas should go to Texas before heading to any other Texas school or Oklahoma, Iowa State, and OSU.  I can understand wanting to leave the State but Barnes is losing recruits to other Texas teams and Oklahoma.  I even understand jumping to Kansas U... But not going to other schools that have not had more recent success than the Longhorns!!!!
12. Baddog... WHy should  I lightenup?  nobody with setxsports authority is light!  You cant debate, disagree, or challenge them without being threatened!  This thing is all in fun and information, but certain indivduals don't feel this way!
13. That not Dickie V at all!!!! So dont try and ban the man!
14.
Its funny about human nature it seems the first inclination is to always believe the negative spin on things. I guess some people literally cant resist it makes them feel good about their own rotten reality. Reminds me of a proverb ~ "get the tree out of your own eye before you judge the splinter in mine"
Aggies as well as others on this board thrive on negative propaganda!!! The truth is rarely wanted or believed.  From reading the press release is was something more than a personality conflict.  It obviously said he violated team rules, big or small you have to make good decisions.  You don't want a label on your head that is negative.  Hopefully the young man ties up all the loose ends and makes good use of his talents to get himself a degree!!!!
15. Forget the East Coast... I like the talent there but he has let some jewels here in Texas pass...  Chris Bosh, Tommy Mason-Griffin, Wesly Johnson, Perry Hill, Ray Penn,Deandre Jordan, Anthony Randolph, and Willie Warren.  You have to remember that local Talent got you there.... TJ Ford, DJ Augustine, Daniel Gibson, etc.  The last few years he has been reaching for far away talent and missed some of the top talent in the Nation from Texas to LSU, Oklahoma, Baylor, Iowa State, and A&M....  No way any of those prorams have more attraction than UT!!!!
16. Baylor had the game but Dukes Coaching and Moxy won the game!!! They play hard all the time and that is a sign of good coaching.  No way Baylor should have given up that many offensive rebounds, that is a pure hustle stat!
17. Dont take it personnal, you assumed Barnes slowed it down, whenhe just "was figured out"!  Any coach in his right mind could defend Texas with that offense!!!  I agree that this season Barnes was the sole culprit of the failure.  Bradely wasn't as good as promised and Mason and Balbay have still yet to improve as players!!!  But Barnes blew it... However what marquee coach is licking thier chops to get to Texas?  I will answer that for you... NONE!!!  The Texas basketball program is "The House that Rick Barnes Built!"
18.
To start out 17-0 and then lose in the first game of the ncaa tournament is sad if you noticed as the season progressed he changed is offense to a down tempo pass the ball around till the shot clock is below 5 then shoot it thats not what got Texas 17-0 the up tempo/ fast break offense got Texas 17-0. Although I do see where yall are coming from on yalls opinions im still not at ease with barnes being head coach at Texas.
I don't mean to talk down on you at all but your statements show how little you know about basketball.  Barnes dumned-down the offense to a simple balll screen offense maybe because of the youth, but that was too much pressure on the ball handlers.  The offense was easy to figure out, that is why it looked slow!!  Barnes never chose a starting line-up and showed his players no loyalty!  There were no easy baskets in his scheme which is even harder on young guards.  Ward's injury hurt the most and Lucas is a Southland player!!!  This years lack of success was soley on Barnes!!!  However you don't fire argublly the best coach in Texas history.  He has taken a virtually absent team for three decades into a perrinial powerhouse in the 21st century! Not to mention he has taken a school with such a strong football tradition into a legit basketball school!  In a State that is all about football!
19.
Game management was HORRIFIC for Texas, they had NO offensive flow, and they got outcoached tremendously...Why does he sit J'covan Brown so much, then asks him to bail them out by going one on one to score? What about that out of bounds play in the end of regulation? What was that? This was a very disappointing season for Texas....How do you go from ranked #1, to unranked and out in rd. 1? That means that people got film on you and easily figured you out, and no adjustments were made other than inconsistent lineups...May be time for a change on the 40 acres!
Change?  Barnes has done more for the program than ANYONE... I will say that this was a VERY poorly coached team this season.  Probably his worse job since he has been a Longhorn coach.  There were no easy baskets and freshman need plays to get them easy looks every once in a while. Barnes killed the psyche of his players... Choose a starting line-up and stick with it through the ups and downs, that is how they learn.  You can still be deep and use alot of players, but your starting 5 has to know that it is their show!! Brown should have remained the starter.  I notice in February that Lucas is a Southland guard, he should not see the floor unless it is in garbage time.  Repeatedly this season he has went to Brown in the second half to pull out of deficits.  He does but usually expells so much energy that he can't complete the surge hence the two late missed free throws!! Teams figured Barnes ball screen offense (which is an easy task) and that is why they started to lose.  The talent carried that team and the coaching let it down. The line up for the season should have been: Pittman... Ride him on his highs and lows Johnson... Steady James... Best Player Bradely... Best starting defender Brown... Ride him on his highs and lows First off the bench should have been Hamilton Chapman Ward Balbay Mason For better or worse!
20. True... They have a chance unless Duke goes zone!!!! But that is not Coach K!
21.
I have never seen a college team shoot free throws as bad as Texas did all season. This is the same way they have been losing all season. I don't know what J'Covan has done but he is way to god of a player to be sitting on the bench when you don't have many other guards that can score. Mason wasn't playing defense or scoring, heck he missed a few layup's. They need to add some size to their lineup to go with the young guards.
Tristan Thomas comes in next year, but Barnes has been losing the recruiting battle to Baylor for the last three years.  I know this class was touted but Bradley and Hamilton were overated.  The best players from Texas have been going to Baylor and Barnes is losing BIG.  First A. Jones, Cory Jefferson, Quincy ACie, and now Perry Hill!!!  Tristan is the ONLY commit for next year.. He is 6'9" and ranked number 1 PF in the class but behind behind Center Perry Hill over all!
22. I don't agree RP3... The Aggs will punch Duke in the mouth and punk em... They have not seen a team that physical!
