Try and be more encouraging. These are not professionals, they are high school students.
This is a sad thread. Its sad that the program that is run by adults cant do anything with these high school kids except themselves blame the kids.Change the AD,change the attitude.
Although I do believe that Deel will be leaving after this season, he is not the biggest problem with the Liberty program. The Panthers have improved every year, with the expception of this year. I do agree that the attitude of some seems to be a problem, but as an ex coach for liberty used to say... there are two things that can not be coached... effort and enthusiasm. A coach can teach technique and build discipline. The player have had decent technique over the the last few years, but discipline is one thing Liberty seemed to be struggling with, and overall that is the only problem that i have ever had with the way coach deel has ran his program. You cannot lay the blame on the coaches alone. Imo it the blame for Liberty's is rough season this year lies in both the players and coaches. From the few games I saw, I have not seen every Liberty game this year, there are SOME players who do not seem to be giving everything they have on Friday nights. of course i do not know the whole story those players could be playing through injuries or something like that i do not know, but that is the way it looked in the stands. Texas Minuteman when  has the coaches blamed the kids? Not calling you out but that is the first time I have heard that.
Its hearsay!! Ive heard it from friends and parents of some of the players. But I dont believe that they all would say the same thing if it were not true.
Im assuming you are from Liberty, as am I, and we shold both know to take everyything you hear with a grain of salt... small town rumors are not the most reliable source of information. Now I do not know if they said it, but I highly doubt it is true based on what I know about the coaches at Liberty.
Im not from Liberty and have never been, but I do have relationships with people there including a couple of coaches there(who doesnt blame kids)and some former coaches that wouldnt either.

(serious question, not just sarcasm) If so I can't wait to hear what he has to say about tonights game.  WOW! I am shocked. I didn't expect them to win, but I did expect  a little bit better game.
Hookem's (game changer/brother/family member) did play the first half.  He was helped off the field at the end of the first half after an interception.  I have not yet heard the diagnosis on the injury, but he did not play the second half.  The sideline for Liberty looks like an infirmary every week.  In my opinion this is due to discipline, poor off season program, and a lack of intensity during practice.  The kids are just not prepared physically for game speed. In regards to Hookem's game changer cut the player some slack. He is a talented player and a good kid.  He just unfortunately does not walk on water  as advertised, but anyone on this forum would welcome him on your team.
Here is the problem with Liberty's players, they're getting the crap kicked out of them every week.  If they were winning these games, you wouldn't see nearly as many injuries.  Once the going gets tough, Liberty folds up like a cheap tent.  I'm so frustrated by this I can barely see straight.  I have supported this team for the past several years and have seen a great influx of talent come and go under the directions of crappy coaching and even crappier players attitudes.  I am hard on LIberty because they deserve better.  Until their players realize that, they will continue to be a joke.  Most of those kids who are in the "infirmary" are well enough to do whatever they please Saturday.  I've heard from coaches who are frustrated with the players not wanting to get back from injuries.  They want to wear the jersey to the pep rally, but not wear it to battle.  I'm tired of it.  Something has to be done by someone who can.  It needs to happen asap.
Sounds to me the HC has lost the players......once that happens its over.  Let the search for a new HC begin IMO.....
I agree with everything that has been stated! From what I've seen from experience the overall "dicipline" is down (workout, practice, physical and mental)! I would love to see Josh Sadler come back and take over!  He demands your respect and is someone who gets the best out of his players!
Liberty had the chance for Josh Sadler and chose Deel. Deel in turn ran off a lot of well respected coaches to make room for new coaches.Sadler couldnt work for Deel and is now the baseball coach at C.E.King.Yes I agree,Sadler would make a fine replacement.
 10. I found out that Mrs. Hess coached at Heritage Christian Acadamy(Cleveland)several years ago.She reportedly took those girls to the State Tourney 6 years in a row. HCA is no longer in business and was more of a Elite HS basketball school.More recently, she was a middle school coach at Liberty a couple of years ago. Hess is also a youth pastor.   In my opinion,Coach Barbay hired a gem.I believe all of our kids will benefit from having another winner to the staff. When I say winner Im not just talking about the win-loss column either.Kids are not born with morals.they have to be taught and Coach Hess will do this and build these kids up.
 11. Liberty hasnt won a game this year and the usual bottom dweller of the district isnt doing too bad this year.My pre-season prediction was Liberty would fight for the 4th spot.I now believe that they now will fight just to get out of the bottom of the septic tank.I'm not sure if they will even win a game.It is a shame that a 3AAA football program has as many problems as they have.I for one do not put the blame on a single kid on this team but instead blame the coaching staff.   What do Ya'll think?
 12. I actually had HF picked to win then changed it to Liberty.Wow was I wrong.Deel's head is gonna be on the choppin block!!! >:(
 13.
im not one of those who thinks jones is the greatest thing since slice bread but with jones back reintrodicing the jet sweep and zone running game to the offense i take liberty by 14
I agree what your saying about Jones and what people think but going up against a team like HF he (IMO)will give Liberty the edge in this one.
 14.
it could change but i have been told jones is playing
I had HF but as soon as I found out JJ was playin I went with the Panthers.
 15. Karry Hess is now the new Head Volleyball Coach at Coldspring.
 16. I really would like to say Liberty in a close one and now that Ive learned Jordan Jones will be back I do believe I will go with Liberty in this one, 38 to 26.
 17.
If things continue as they are,And WOS stays healtly I think they are the best bet on making it to the State playoffs at this time, They are only gonna get better with time.... This is my opinion,I'm sure we all have one... ;)
WOS does have a good shot at Division II if they can get past Coldspring and or La Marque who will also be Division II.Either way SETX will be well represented in the playoffs.
 18. Just because the MORON known as kvillecats predicted a WOS win I'm gonna have to go with Jasper. After all he did say that Jasper couldnt beat Kirbyville either but we all know how that ended up.

When our key players come back should be interesting come district.
And you called me an Idiot!!!!Looks like I was right again.
 20. I think I get the blue star on this one.I do believe my prediction of CS 27 Lm 22 was closest!!! 8)
