I rest my case 8) Dayton seems to have a little weenie envy! Don't worry boys football is finially back and Dayton can forget about all of the UIL Athletic and Academic beatings that they took all year. Thank God for Football!! If Dayton loses foose ball they would have even more spare time which would lead to even more in breading and looting of school property ;D ;D ;D ;D
Notice I said more athletic. I never said better coached. Lee has a lot of individual talents that rarely ever gel into a cohesive team. Lee will be faster and quicker than BH this year. But North Forest is faster and quicker than BH every year too, so it isn't all about being faster and quicker.
There is the nail on the head! The team has to work well with each other or you can have all the speed in the world. Look at La Marque when they have a coach that can make them buy into the process they are unstopable ,but when they don't not so much! As I've said before Lee has made this a better district, but they are down this year according to what I have read. I don't know what the out look for Lee is in the future, but I do know that BH and Dayton have about 4 years of pretty good talent comming up.
You know life can be tough for BH fans and I know allot of you are actually crying out for help . Its hard living with all those frustrated knotted up suppressed latent homo fixated hot-dog tendencies. But you know sometimes you just have to think outside of the bun hun and quit living vicariously through the real Alpha team in the district Dayton Bronco's. OK... now breathe out .. doesn't that feel better .
Man yall are jumping all over the hot dog bets ;D maybe it's true that there is nothing but steers and queers in Dayton...... And I bet you dont have any horns ;D ;D ;D
There are varying degrees of being good. Not everyone is going to win have won a state championship obviously. If it's state championship or bust in your mind, then you are in for a long, depressing ride. Having said that, Lee has had some entertaining, talented teams over the past 25 years. I have been privileged to watch a lot of future college stars as well as a couple of future NFL players. Lee just has a more talented pool of students when it comes to football. Lee has a lot more athletic players than BH this year as well.
Oh I know I have watched and followed the Ganders since Stoener (Sp) I always injoyed watching that offense that Olin put together. If lee has more athletic players than BH this year then it should be an easy win for the Ganders. Oh keep this post handy for after the game and we will see what your explantion is ;D Oh and where do the athletes go after football? I've watched BH beat lee in Basketball, Baseball and every other sport for the past 10 years? hmmmmm
Yes Lee has....me I would venture to guess Baytown Lee has more graduates that have college degrees than Barbers Hill. Tell me who Barbers Hill has graduated that played at a D1 school. I can't think of any at all... Lee has to have had 25-30 in the past 20 years.
Kenny Robbins UH 90-93. There are some more and someone produced a list at one time, but I don't have it. Oh and if you count Lee College degrees you may be right on more degrees than BH;D How many state championships did those 25-30 Div I players get ya? DIV I players help, but they can't carry a team in most cases. BH has beaten teams with Div I players while having none theirselves :)

Patriots tinkering with new offense By Nathan Hague The Baytown Sun Published June 22, 2010 Dave Campbell’s 2010 Texas Football Magazine dropped a surprise about Goose Creek Memorial’s offense — the Patriots are switching to the I-formation. “We’re talking about doing that,†head coach Bret Boyd said. “We’ve been in more spread and in the I (formation). We’ll continue to work on it some more in the two-a-days, and see how things go from there.†Last year’s quarterback, Cody Larson, and running back, DeMartie Allen, each graduated, leaving Boyd with big shoes to fill. “Offensively, we’ve got a new group we’re working with,†he said. “So we’re still kind of putting pieces together.†As for finding a replacement at the quarterback position, Boyd said Price Jacobs is the most experienced, but the coach expects his underclassmen to give Jacobs some competition. He expects junior Damon Guillory to take the majority of the carries at running back. “Right now Damon Guillory, who was on varsity last year, has the upper hand, and hopefully some of the other guys will step up and give him some competition,†Boyd said. “At receiver, we’ve got Jeremiah Johnson, Josh Mayes, big guys who might be more of a tight end type of guy so that could help us decide on which formation we’ll go with. “But we’ll probably go with a good mixture of the two.†The biggest factor, Boyd said, is the progress of those protecting the quarterback. “The offensive line is our biggest question mark,†Boyd said. “Other than our center (Clint Welborn), the whole group is relatively new. That will dictate what were run. Right now, it’s unknown until we get in pads and see.†Boyd said he hopes the summer heat won’t keep his team down. “That’s just part of it,†he said. “It’s getting hotter and hotter, and that just something we’ll have to get used to between now and August.†The Patriots will start strength and conditioning camp Monday. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Has Barbers Hill put any football players into d1 schools since the invention of the face mask? I was actually able to score a photo of the last Barbers Hill team to win a playoff game right after their victory. [img][Hidden Content]]
To answer your question YES ;D Has Lee placed anyone is society that isn't working at a fast food place?

BH-89 I would be careful it looks like in Fraziers words "Your hot dog bets have been just a thinly veiled attempt at picking up dudes on the internet" I think he is the dude that just got picked up!! and now he wants to meet you with $1,000 :o :o Frazier you don't have to pay for it just go out to Montrose and shake what your mama gave ya ;D ;D 8)
Baytown Carver won state multiple times.... BH has been squatless for 30 years. Been a lot of standing up over there the last 30 years... Haven't even had an S over there, much less the "quat"
Carver????? is that before they made the mascott a GOOSE ;D ;D The Olin days are over and he was the only bright spot in Lee's dismal history. Maybe yall should bring back the Brig they could make more noise than Lee will this season.

That is the day for BH football fans that the delusions of grandeur come to a shocking reality check and the heartburn sets in...... In case you don't know what happens on September 24, that is the day that BH does not get enough first downs to surpass the number of TD's scored by the Broncos.
Thanks Tex :) now with my new information I'll pick like this ;D 1.) Crosby - 7 returning on D that held Dayton to ZERO. Plus one of the 4 returning on O is the best QB in district!!! 2.) Dayton - Good Team / Great Coach + good returns on O and D 3.) BH - Most BH has returned in a while + we have a COACH ;D 4.) GCM - Should have good Defense , but with 2 returning on O can they score enough??? 5.) C.E. King - Good Return of players 6.) Lee - Not returning Squat, but can still be dangerous IMO 7.) GP - Returning a lot, but just can't compete 8.) N.Forest - If this team ever gets a Coach again they will be a force!
Not so sure about the "not returning squat" Lee returns the best player in the district which is always a good place to start. The Ganders may have a shortage of players, but they have some good athletes. Barbers Hill hasn't had squat since the mid 70's, so they are experts on observing squatless teams.
Easy Panama, No reason to get your Gander feathers in a bunch ;D Lee is returning ZERO on Offense according to Dave Campbell, so I would define that as SQUAT and return 3 total out of 22 starters. Oh and we haven't won State since the 70's hmmmm When did Lee win State ??? oh yeah the same year Dayton did ;D ;D ;D
Well being you put it that way over the last 3 years Dayton has stayed pretty close or did better than DCTF staff picked em being the last team still playing in 19-4A while roundball was happening for the rest-OMG no wonder we're not very good @ BB ;) :o ::)
Or any other sport ;D At least you can hang your hat on football 8) stir stir I'm close to getting into football season form!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Houston North Forest
Thanks Grad! Can't wait to get my copy to see how many is returning for each team. GCM has to rebuild this year and BH starting a new program! Lee could squeeze into 3 or 4 IMO.

BH hires former Kingwood coach From sports staff reports Baytown Sun Published June 8, 2010 David Denny, who led Kingwood High School to the Class 5A state championship, was hired Monday night to take over as baseball coach at Barbers Hill High School. Denny, a member of the University of Texas 1983 national championship team, retired from Kingwood in 2007 after leading the Mustangs to back-to-back state tourney appearances in 2004 and 2005. During his 13 years as assistant and head coach at Kingwood, the Mustangs reached the regional finals five times. As a player, he was named All-American during his years at Texas and drafted three times by the pros before signing with the Philadelphia organization.

It's impossible to put BH in any spot in the top 10 at this point. One thing for sure is that the coaching factor will be greatly improved, if anyone doubts that then they are mistaken. Talent should also increase this year, so the X factor is will the kids learn the system quick enough be competitive? What BH lacks in Athletes they have in intelligents & Pride! Buy in will not be a factor either. I can't see BH having a bad year all you have to do is look to the East last year! PNG completely started over with a coach and WON district then went two rounds! I bet no one on this board except a couple of crazy Indians would have bet on that. Playing BH this year will be like playing a whole new team.

Have a happy retirement Coach Stalbaum! I had you as a teacher and a coach my years a BH and you have done a great job for BH!

He didn't even come to the football pep rallies. He pretty much acted like his dog got ran over and didn't have anything positive to say. Wit the exception of the first year we were in 4A and had loads of talent, the majority of his wins came while we were in 3A and in a marginal district. Yes, Liberty and HF had some good teams and we had some big wins against those teams, but I DON'T think he was the savior of BH football. You are making your judgements of what you saw or read after the last couple of years which was 8 years into Prices carear. First 4 years were good ones then at somepoint somebodys head got too big and a pissing match comenced well the boss is always going to win that match. Again I don't care whose fault it was because according to who you talk to it's everyones fault. The important thing is that BH has a new Coach and HF has a new Coach and both of them should do well.
