1. I would say Lumberton has more talent on the floor but LCM has a better coach. In the first game LCM's coach did a better job of adjusting to Lumberton's game then Lumberton did to LCM's. I'm a little biased though so I'm gonna take Lumberton in this one by 8.
2.
central 70 Vidor 46 final
Brace yourselves; the "bad officiating" posts are coming. ;D
3. Lumberton over Livingston 60-42. It was a little disappointing to see Livingston fans cheer when their players fouled Lumberton players hard.
4. It's up to the coaches, if one wants to play then the other has to concede to the lower seed but if both want to play then they play for it.
5. They would play a tie breaker game amd the winner would advance to the playoffs
6. I find it ironic that Vidor fans are complaining about "one-sided officiating."  ;D
7. I would say that Lumberton has the most talent of the teams fighting for a spot; however, it depends on how well they can play as a team. That has been Lumberton's downfall all year. I'll say Lumberton pulls together and takes it though.
8.
Who won the LC-M vs. Livingston game?
I heard Livingston by 5
9.
why such a hater laidyraider
' With his level of concern with Vidor's program and lack of interest in Lumberton's I would say he is a disgruntled Vidor fan who masqurades himself as a Lumberton fan to make it seem inconspicuous that he continuously bashes Vidor; everyone likes a good conspiracy theory right? To keep on track with the thread, I would say it depends on if Vidor can get their shots to fall early in the game. I've seen both teams. Vidor shoots the ball exceptionally well from behind the arc while Ozen has some of the best teamwork I have seen from a team this year. I'll say Ozen pulls it out by 10. Teamwork is too good and the pressure they apply will make it hard to shoot well.
10. Lumberton had a few good years in the mid 2000s. Had a good coach and 1 or 2 D1 players, one of which was the coaches daughter. After she graduated he left,  I think after that Lumberton got a subpar coach and the  fired him after a couple years. After him they got Gholston who was an assistant coach. By the time he got there the team had completely regressed but they let him go after two years. Then last year they moved coach Goad from softball to basketball and shes done an alright job. Shes not a bad coach, she just needs a lot more experience. She got the team to the playoffs for the first time since 06 last year and I have faith in them going again this year.
11. The question I asked was not in regard to the one post on this thread but to the multiple post across other threads constantly downing Vidor's team. I have been one of the only ones to post about Lumberton this year and it seems odd to me that if you are as big of a Lumberton Lady Raider fan as you claim to be that you post next to nothing about them. With the exception of the Vidor-Lumberton game. Please don't take offense; it just seems strange in my opinion.
12. I'm looking for the Lady Raiders to take the 4th spot so I'm not sure if you think I'm the one who excluded them from the playoffs. I've been at almost every game this year so I know what they are capable of. They have the talent to play well. And as far as Nederland and LCM go, the Lady Raiders this year so far are 2-1 against Nederland; they beat them by 37 in the Nederland Tournament, lost their district opener at home by 8 and then won at Nederland by 13. Against LCM Lumberton is 0-1 only having played them once where they lost by 5 at home.
13. If you don't mind me asking Ladyraider, for someone who identifies them-self with the Raiders, you seem to show a lot more interest in Vidor's program. Any reason why? Just to clarify, I'm not attacking you, I'm just curious.
14. Looks like the playoff race for the 4th spot will be interesting.
15. I heard the other night that PNG may have beaten Nederland in district play. Is there any truth in that?
16. I agree Slam, we are all experts in hindsight. We are young starting a freshman,  two sophmores, and two seniors who didnt play much last year. In fact the two sophmores are the only girls on the team with substantial experience from last year. As far as frustrations with Coach Goad go. It seems as if she quit coaching the team after about their twentieth game. By this I mean she was actually adjusting as the half and as the game progressed to help the girls win. In multiple games they went into the half down 10+, and adjusted to come back for a win. She doesnt do that anymore. Whatever she starts the game in is what she finishes the game with. At other times she just doesnt put much thought into what she does. For example. When we played and lost to Nederland after beating them by 37 a week before. The offense we ran in that game was an offense she spent 30 minutes teaching them the day before the game. Gametime cane, they ran it ineffectively, and she never got out of it. After the game she threw the loss on the girls. The last thing is this. Im not sure how long you stayed Friday but after the game she brought the girls into the gym, griped at them asking what was wrong with them and why they did such a bad job before lining them up to run baselines and do push ups as punishment for the game. I have no problem with punishment for a bad game, however we are 25 games into the season and this is the 1st time shes punished them this season. Its a little late in my opinion. I also didnt see her run a single baseline for her mediocre coaching that night. Overall I do like Coach Goad and she has shown to have a lot of potential to be a good coach but its hard to understand what she has been doing lately.
17. It was an entertaining game to watch and the paper did not lie. LCM came to play and flat outplayed the Raiders, they set up the game with an aggressive defense which really put the Raiders on their heels forcing 13 turnovers. In response the Raiders played a lot of individual basketball (I couldn't tell what kind of offense they were even running). One person would get the ball and try to drive and in response the Bears would block the lane forcing a highly contested shot from the Raiders. The Bears did well on offense as well working the ball around and scoring even on contested shots. The Raiders were out coached in my opinion. By that I mean Goad made no adjustments throughout the entire game. Mainly staying in a passive 2-3 zone which gave the Bears too many easy shots from the field. Nothing was really done about the lack of an offense throughout the night by the Raiders as well. Another heavy blow was sophomore scoring and defensive leader number 1 receiving three fouls in the first 5 minutes of the game, and then sitting until the third where she quickly received a 4th and fouled out early in the 4th (she played maybe 12 minutes of the game at most). In my opinion two fouls were warranted three were not. Number 10 also fouled out which hurt as well. I will say the Lady Raiders did a good job shooting to keep themselves in the game. I hate to see that they have lagged off so bad since starting 12-1 beating teams like Port Arthur and Westbrook but in my opinion, until the Raiders get a coach who actually knows how to coach they will have a hard time winning. Overall the Bears were better coached and played a better game last night. Great job LCM.
18. I think the rankings would help promote a little more traffic on this side of the site. I would say top 5 are 1. Ozen 2. PAM 3t. Central 3t. HJ 3t. BH
