  1. Dayton by 21 at least... It is time for the brakes to be thrown on the L-train.
  2. The defense was on the field most of the game... Our offense did not give the defense a break. This defense is not soft. They were worn down. You had to see the game. They did a tremendous job under extreme fatigue. They HELD them all night when it counted. I can't wait for district to start so the teams can just duke it out on the field. I think all the haters will be put in there place. GO DOGS!!!!
  3. i don't know if I can handle another game like that... Our defense looked great tonight. Kinda scratching my head about the offense... Looks like we need some work. Congrats to the Dogs for a hard fought victory!!!!
  4. hey patitan... Do you remember a ts named allison? I went through it and it was not fun. It could be a dangerous situation..
  5. I have a family member who is a scout for a local team and was at the game. He said that new caney has to be the worst 4a team in the state. He said forest brook could easily smoke new caney... So congrats to the L-train... a win is a win BUT you have to examine the competition
  6. sfa 85 To me football is a means to an end. A very very small percentage of those that play college ball ever make it to the pro level. If they can go to school on scholarship, play football, and get an education then sports have done there job. d-1, d-2 who cares, education is key.
  7. time will tell how good of a back at the next level Mosley will be. I am not sure the two can be compared. Charles is NFL caliber talent. Mosley is a good high school running back. Why even compare the two?
  8. Good job dogs. You guys exceeded my expectations again. It was a fun ride. Good luck to LC the rest of the way.
  9. This is Abraham Lincolns declaration of the thanksgiving holiday. I think is true today as it was then The year that is drawing toward its close has been filled with the blessings of fruitful fields and healthful skies. To these bounties, which are so constantly enjoyed that we are prone to forget the source from which they come, others have been added which are of so extraordinary a nature that they can not fail to penetrate and soften even the heart which is habitually insensible to the ever-watchful Providence of Almighty God. In the midst of a civil war of unequaled magnitude and severity, which has sometimes seemed to foreign states to invite and to provoke their aggression, peace has been preserved with all nations, order has been maintained, the laws have been respected and obeyed, and harmony has prevailed everywhere, except in the theater of military conflict, while that theater has been greatly contracted by the advancing armies and navies of the Union. Needful diversions of wealth and of strength from the fields of peaceful industry to the national defense have not arrested the plow, the shuttle, or the ship; the ax has enlarged the borders of our settlements, and the mines, as well as the iron and coal as of our precious metals, have yielded even more abundantly than heretofore. Population has steadily increased notwithstanding the waste that has been made in the camp, the siege, and the battlefield, and the country, rejoicing in the consciousness of augmented strength and vigor, is permitted to expect continuance of years with large increase of freedom. No human counsel hath devised nor hath any mortal hand worked out these great things. They are the gracious gifts of the Most High God, who, while dealing with us in anger for our sins, hath nevertheless remembered mercy. It has seemed to me fit and proper that they should be solemnly, reverently, and gratefully acknowledged, as with one heart and one voice, by the whole American people. I do therefore invite my fellow-citizens in every part of the United States, and also those who are in foreign lands, to set apart and observe the last Thursday of November next as a day of thanksgiving and praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the heavens. And I recommend to them that while offering up the ascriptions justly due to Him for such singular deliverances and blessings they do also, with humble penitence for our national perverseness and disobedience, commend to His tender care all those who have become widows, orphans, mourners, or sufferers in the lamentable civil strife in which we are unavoidably engaged, and fervently implore the imposition of the Almighty hand to heal the wounds of the nation and to restore it, as soon as may be consistent with the divine purpose, to the full enjoyment of peace, harmony, tranquillity, and union. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the United States to be affixed. Done at the city of Washington, this 3d day of October, A. D. 1863, and of the Independence of the United States the eighty-eighth. Abraham Lincoln
  10. Barbers Hill is building a great program, better luck next year. I am sure your coaches are working on a better schedule.
  11. You guys also have quality teams. BH is an up and coming school. My only advice is to schedule tougher non district games.
  12. this should be a monster of a game with giddings #3 and WOS #4 I wish I could see this one. Good Luck WOS, take it to em'
  13. I just checked @texasfootball.com and they have LC ranked #2 in the state.... Oh well, every now and then a kansas state knocks off a UT... It can happen, chances aren't great but it could happen.
  14. Lamar consolidated... that should be fun... after tonight, i think we have a good shot at it.
  15. hey love ya blue... Yet another wrong prediction... When are you going to come over and become a bulldog fan?
  16. Hate to tell all the 21-4a fans but... we told ya so. You guys have very good teams. I just think you all need to begin to face better teams during non district to prepare you for what yall are going to face in the playoffs.
  17. Good Luck Jaguars... Take it to the loud mouth HILL. Just remember all you barbers hill fans... there is always next year....
  18. I used to live there. Galena park is a relatively poor area, while North Shore is more of a highly populated upper middle and middle class area. I don't understand why they are not two different school districts, It is really spread out over a large area.
  19. rev faulk, this is Matt East... Don't go offending the vidor folks... They are easily offended. These same few are the same ones who were always stirring a stink in the football forum. LOL.
