Facts...the first pick was Dickey Meeks who had won state at Tyler Chapel Hill in 1989 and grew up in Nederland... as the story goes Coach Meeks came to Nederland (this after the school board argued with him over assistants) took one look at the facilities turned around and never came back. The second guy was Ken Wheaton who was an Assistant at Lake Highlands who was actually a worse head coach than Bobby August but he too turned it down. We were lucky to have Coach Neumann take the job because he was the 3rd Choice

Hard to believe it but when he was fired 200 Nederland fans actually protested to KEEP Bobby August as head coach

If Nederland wants advice on how to lose then that's perfect advice

Biggest question mark this year OL was awful last year, got two out of 5 starters back this year very young on the OL with a steep learning curve early (WO-S and Memorial)

I was impressed with his arm strength more than anything ultimately the decision lies with coach barrow

Speed is not his strong suit....

Bulldogs schedule is brutal with 6 games on the road this year. I could be wrong but I think Nederland will see great improvement on offense this year with a big upgrade at QB. My questions are on defense that's where my wait and see is

I'd be shocked if we went 3-7 or 2-8. In order for that to happen the defense would have to completely fall apart because I think the dogs will be pretty good on the other side of the ball
