We played without 3 starters. One was lost to injury and 2 were lost to grades. All three should be back by round 2 IF we survive round 1.

Big Sandy takes the #1 seed with a 9 to 4 win over the Dawgs in Woodville.

The played an ineligible player in their final district game and had to forfeit.

For the districts #1 seed in the playoffs.

The Dogs bounce back from the big upset at High Island to hand Big Sandy their first district loss.

Unfortunately, it's not.

OK. I really HOPE that it was an April Fools joke.

I was at a track meet tonight, but I HEARD that High Island upset the Dogs 15 to 5. Be warned, though. That could have been an early April Fools story at my expense.
