  1. Speaking of traditions and all....... does PN-G have "crazy mommas" like BH?

Last year's BH Mommas (07) weren't quiet as 'entertaining' as the '06 Mommas.  I know there's some of you '06 mommas still around, so y'all need to help the '08 Mommas step up their game a little this year!  Get the megaphones, shakers and signs ready!

It's football time in Texas girls!  Let's show 'em what the BH Crazy Mommas are about!!!

So you do remember us???? Those were some good times. Nothing like Friday Night football games. Having to get used to Saturday afternoon games now. Must say that the tailgating is a lot more fun!! Haven't quite broken out my crazy momma stuff. Not sure those folks to the east are ready for this crazy momma from Texas!

    Good Luck Eagles!!!

  2. Please name all your D-1 players since Price has been in charge.  Walk-ons don't count.

Kyle Cox-University of Louisiana (Class of 2007) Full scholarship-no walk-on.

The Scholarship to Navy is a ROTC scholarship and I have never heard of the University of Louisiana!!  If the walk-on is put on scholarship then that would be mentionable, if not then they are just scout team players or tackling dummies that will never see the field.

Here, I'll make it a little simpler for you. University of Louisiana-Lafayette, Ragin Cajuns. UL is dropping the Lafayette, but I wouldn't expect you to know that. Again, he signed last year, no walk-on, full scholarship.

  3. Maybe we should call some of the "Crazy Moms" from last year to come out and get everyone up on their feet!!

I'm pretty confident that this years group of moms can get the crowd off their a$$! Well, at least the real fans anyway. Besides I think I heard that the "Crazy Moms" were touring this fall. They've been sited in Louisiana, so I hear.

    GO EAGLES!!!!!!!

  4. Those two are very good and were the emotional leaders on the defense' date=' but like I said already this one is simple:

Joe Sexton of BH: 170 tackles, 95 solo, 75 assists, 8 TFL, 2 Sacks, 9 QB Pressures, 2 CF, 4 RF, 3 INT, 1 Def TD, 1 PBU.

Many games he was out most of the second half because of some of the cake games we had. Has to be a lock for linebacker. 2nd Year starter as a Junior. 200+ tackles would have been easily accessible.

One int won the game against C.E. King as it was returned for a TD.

Swart sure did help out though![/quote']

Not taking anything away from Joe, but Cox upset the strategy of every team they played against. Coaches wanted to go no where near him. Cox and Swart had no mercy on anyone.

  5. Well, that loss on Friday was hard to stomach. Both teams played a great game. The worst part however, was realizing the fact that it was the last BH football game for 33 of those players. Y'all are one heck of group. We knew since your 9th grade year that this class was talented. You have been excellant role models for the upcoming players and they will have BIG shoes to fill next year. You have all been a pleasure to watch over the years and I thank you for one heck of a ride!

I expect to come watch a few of you play some college ball next year, so hopefully you won't go too far from the HILL.

  6. BH defense has a ton of weapons this year. Cox gets my vote. He has been a nuisance to every team this year. Coaches have had to come up with new games plans because no one will run his way. But that still hasn't stopped him from leveling guys on the other side of the field. Cox and Swart together on defense are a deadly combination.

  7. Now, no one said anything about not being happy. I'm sure BH is just thrilled to be 5-0, the point was is it really fair to the other contributing members of the team not to get recognition unless you're a favorite Our coach goes out of his way to make sure that players on both sides of the ball gets recognized. Just don't think it's helps with the team morale.

Oh, and you have to wear panties before they can get in a wad!! 8)

  8. I love to talk about this defensive unit. May be the most balanced unit I've ever seen. Cox and Swart' date=' in my opinion, are the dominating factors. Noone can handle Swart inside this year. He at this point, as I've said before, is the def. MVP to this point. He may not get the notoriety of some others, but just watch him. He's in the top 3 in tackles and draws double teams alot. Opponents have to pay alot of attention to him and Cox. And speed! this D unit has speed that noone believes until they see it. Patton, Fisher, Little, and a coupe of others have 4.5 speed. I find that alot of other posters dont believe that...... just come watch. As for the HC promoting certain players.... I dont like going there, BUT, i guess I will. There is (as in many programs) politics and favoritism in the BH program. And we all know its not a huge headline secret that I say that so dont dive on me in future posts. haha. Well, I leave it at that. All I know is they are gettin' it done and look very good doing it. GO EAGLES!!! BH 31 - NC 7[/quote']

Oh, let's go there. This is a quote out of the Baytown Sun today.

“We knew coming into the season that defense would be the strength of our team,†Price said. “The kids in the secondary have done a good job of stepping up.

So, we can't mention any names of the defensive players unless of course it's the favorites. And what secondary are we referring to? The ones that get told they are starters, but don't play much or the favorites again? More BH politics, right??

  9. When people usually discuss playing at the next level' date=' they are referring to atleast D1 AA. D2 or 3 is more about just wanting to play. If it is really what you want to do alot of people can get on the teams. Now actually being a producer on those teams is different. I don't want to sound like I am degrading anyone who has done that. There is a big difference at those levels in "making the team" and really playing. This is not a load of talent for a team to have since 98. You could name maybe 9 or so that could possibly play D1 AA. And several of those as walk-ons. I don't want to be downing walk-ons because that means you can play. I am just saying that because it means it wasn't a standout athlete or they would have been seen and given a scholarship, which is the arguement. And on the coaches not helping, if you are good enough they find you. Our coaches actually do work very hard to get people to schools, but it is hard to build up an undersize kid that doesn't have great speed, regardless of how good of a player they are. If the players met what the colleges wanted, they would be there. Scouts don't have to be called anymore they are at every high school in the area in the springs to check it out for themselves. Apparently they don't like what they see. I think T. Blake was a great player, I say best running back we have had. Could he play, yes. But, it was a hard sell for our coaches because he was a little slow for tailback and a little small for protypical fullback (also few teams use a true fullback anymore so that limited the opportunities). It's just not easy to get kids to the next level unless they've got the God-given abilities. And Daniels was injured at the beginning of the game, just finished the half.

    To McHale..none were D1 A, two were D1 AA both walk-ons[/quote']

bheaglefan, I will revisit this comment at the end of the season. I'm superstitious and don't want to discuss it during the season, but you and I will chit chat at a later date.

  10. I do have to ask though why you never hear their head coach mention any of the players on defense as contributing factors of them being 5-0. There's only 3 players he consistently mentions. I wonder if that has anything to do with the line being drawn between the defense and offense this year. Or maybe he's just trying to promote those 3. Well from what I've heard and seen, the defense is getting plenty of looks and praise all on their own.
