The top 3 districts look pretty brutal, but they also have a clear cut favorite in each 16-6A NS 8-5A Lufkin (I know some posters won’t agree with this and instead side with P.A.M but believe me when I say Lufkin is “LEGIT” WB couldn’t handle them at all, now granted I don’t know what they have coming back but I’m basically baseing these predictions off of last year 11-5A Manvel

Think your underestimating Stowers, was one of the most successful coaches and was only at Central 4 years. won 2 district championships made it to playoffs 3/4 years and went 4rounds deep his final year. Defense of mastermind , and had a very great program going..was very good in the community and got kids out of the hallways and on to the field.. imo he could be a good get for the new school

When my nephew was there he played football for Stowers and ran track for Washington and i really believe that help keep him out of trouble as well as teach him life lessons which is more reason i feel he was the best coach to come through Central and Washington is just a really good man, so you had two father figures outside the home....that woman really runied everything lol

I do agree Soulja to a point. I think they may have Extraviagated the situation a little, i coached at Central a while back and I’ve seen kids from the Southend come and was treated no different then the other kids, mainly cause they played sports and were really good at it (Pharius Haynes, Mike Mitchell, David Mayfield, Jacoby Hale, etc) but I will say it will be problems cus even though they got along they still had altercations with some teammates but the problem will Come from “other students” and when I say other students I mean Non-athletes ....Thoes are the kids you have to worry about the non-athletes..Most of the kids who play sports all have crossed paths or known of each other, but it’s the ones who don’t you have to worry about and I feel that’s where your problems will come from.

Think his dad wants him to play in the higest classification Also dont forget his little cousin Rivers hes good to. Smith MS has some nice athletes coming up also

No im so tired of BISD staying in House when better Coaches are avaliable, now by all means if they're the better qualified coach then i have no problem with it, but if im a betting man, i know coaches from across the State will see a chance to work with the talent this school will bring and be applying ..Jeff Nelson will probably be the most in house qualified coach other then that, i believe the best coaches will be found outside of BISD as far as football is concerned ..Basketball may be another story but this is the football thread so i wont get into that

I will say this, I know we hate to see Bama in every NC game but to be honest , it's only a few programs around the country that can take down a full strength Alabama team on a consistent basis USC Texas LSU Florida Ohio State Nebraska Miami Michigan Notre Dame Penn State Oklahoma Until these programs become irrelivent again Bama will continue to dominate college football I will say this tho Georgia and Ohio State are on the come up and could possibly be the teams to unseat the tide at the top Reason why i wont say Clemson is becaues Clemson is just really getting started i have to see them do this a few more seasons before i put them with these programs who have proven when at full strength (recruiting, coaching, wins) they can dominate an era

Like I said Give me Georgia's defense for a big time stop... But I will say Oklahoma helped them by playing not to lose in OT, instead of playing to win.. if I know my Defese can't stop Georgia you gotta pull out all the stops

Yea maybe but only some are realistically possible. All I'm trying yo say is he's better then alot of college coaches in place now . Some coaches wish they seen a bowl game every year and a winning record

Just listen to the rumblings in College Station, and how 8+ wins aren't good enough anymore , which is the reason he's gone now, you know ..so obviously the bar is raised and they feel they should have 10+ wins a season + fight for conference championships ..

I’m being serious,,and that’s my point before he got there, 10wins wasn’t even a serious expectation there...He’s raised the bar at A&M is all I’m saying, and he should be a sought after coach..
