I miss SE Texas football.... My mother paid $8 for a pair of tickets for WOS/Silsbee while I paid $162 for a pair of Texas A&M at OSU tickets tomorrow night. :shock: Go Mustangs!!!!!!!!

...the wrong score being reported! Last week, highly ranked Westmoore HS defeated Edmond Memorial 31-13. But here's the headline in the Oklahoma City newspaper: "Oklahoma High School Football - Edmond Memorial beat Westmoore (October 13, 2006: Oklahoma City, OK 73170) In Friday's league game, the visiting Edmond Memorial Bulldogs football team scored a good 31-13 win over the Westmoore Jaguars. " The wrong score was also reported in the Tulsa newspaper and most radio outlets. And due to the wrong score, in the sports writers poll Westmoore dropped to #6 in class 6A. (I think they were #2 before the loss) And to make it more confusing, the correct score was printed in the box score and stats. But Westmoore is actually 7-0...Now that the mistake is known, do you think Westmoore will make a huge jump in next week's poll? Go ahead and make your Oklahoma jokes.

my father, Bert Flickinger, was a student at Lamar Tech when the name change to Lamar U. was accepted. He told me that he submitted the name "Lamar State Local University of Texas" as he wanted to see "L-SLUT" on football helmets. Surprisingly, the regents frowned. I don't like SE Texas state or whatever due the negative "directional" university stigma.

What high school stadiums won't be 100% repaired for the upcoming football season? I've seen pics of WOS, what other schools had lots of stadium damage?
