  1. The sooner they realize Michael is their best running back, the better off they will be. That guy is like a Leeland Mcelroy clone. They need to get the ball in his hands as often as possible. The other back is pretty good, but Michael is a star waiting to happen.
  2. They must be rioting and burning the press box after the Falcons hit the game winning td.
  3. I wish I woulda went to this game. Are they playing in BMT or Cview?
  4. I'm not going to sit here and say the Falcons are a powerhouse, but they looked pretty solid against Lee. If they had any sort of offensive line they would have a really good offense. McNorten is a really good running back, very shifty. The quarterback is adequate, they have some pretty good receivers. With any pass protection, they'd be really tough to stop.
  5. If Vince Young had gone to Dayton, they would have at least 2, possibly 3, straight state championships. I just shudder tothink about what Vince could have done with any sort of a disciplined, tough team around him. Those HISD schools.....I mean go look at Madison this year. Then try to think about that ragtag bunch adding one player and being within a few points of being the best in the state. It boggled the mind how much better Vince made them. Without Vince, Katy would have laid the hammer down on Madison early in the playoffs to the tune of about 35-7 probably. You heard the same bs about Pierre Beasley too lol This kid from Dayton is probably more along those lines. Probably more like Carlyle Holiday. It just gets old trying to fight off some homers saying they have the next Vince Young. Jerrod Johnson is the same thing. He can't hold Vince's jock, but I'd be willing to bet Jerrod is just as good as this Green kid is.
  6. Michael for West Brook #33... Running back, and I am almost certain he's a 10th grader. He looks like the next coming of Leeland McElroy. He should be starting as he is by far their best back...and the starter is darn good too.
  7. The score doesn't even truly reflect the type of hammering Humble put on WB. I thought for sure WB would roll in this one. Humble could have just as easily won this one 56-7; they totally dominated from jump street.
  8. West Brook will win this one easily. Something along the lines of 37-14 I would guess
  9. In 8 games, PAM has scored more than 34 two times. They have a nice offense, but they make too many mistakes. They will turn it over at least 4 times probably. Lee held them to 27, with 7 of those coming on a last minute drive to win the game. Lee's defense stinks pretty much. Valcin is really good, but the others just get their yards because they pass so much. Could PAM score 50? Yeah there's a chance, but there's also a chance they score 20, if they fumble it around like they're known to do.
  10. You're right that Sterling could surprise PAM, particularly if PAM makes mistakes. I don't think Sterling will be able to do much to stop PAM's passing game though. Sterling's pass defense is their weakness. I'd be more inclined to believe that Sterling may upset Kingwood
  11. Man I got WB's score on the nose. Didn't give PAM enough credit though. Sounds like this was a good game.
  12. lee is up 34...7 mid 3rd quarter with the ball at the 50
  13. My pick was in the 5th post on the thread I think, musta got lost in the shuffle. I had West Brook 56 - PAM 27
  14. Newcost is a running back and won't get much except for shovel passes and a few screens. King is ok, you're average high school receiver. Where WB will need to be careful is with Valcin. He's by FAR their best receiver. I will go so far as to say they better just double cover him on most downs. He will eat WB alive if they single cover him. Davon Lewis is VERY slippery. He's the best running quarterback I've seen this year and it's not even close. He's much more slippery than Brandon Williams or Joe Chaisson. He's not as fast probably as Williams, but he's much more difficult to get a handle on in the open field. PAM is very undisciplined and this is what hurts them in most games. Too many penalties. Too many turnovers. They ha d apenalty that led to a Lee td, but they only turned it over once. They played their most mistake free ball of the year and won. I don't think they can do that twice in a row. I predict about 5 turnovers in this one by PAM. I don't think either team will punt more than once or twice though.
  15. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to goto PA for the freshman games. I took a look at the JV though. PAM 28 - LEE 28 Lee ties it up with 19 seconds left and couldn't connect on the 2 point conversion for the win.
  16. Anyone know where the Titans play their undersquad games? I was thinking of driving in from Baytown to watch the 9th grade A game. How's the weather over there right now in the Golden Triangle anyways?
  17. Well......word going around is.... I dont think you will see Jeremy Moses back this week. You might not see Kevin Craft this week either. He hurt an ankle in last week's game. He's Lee's leading receiver. Okayl Maxwell is a lot better replacement than Lee would have in most years though.
  18. Let's not start counting any chickens yet. Every game will be a struggle for Lee until Jeremy Moses gets back. Racinjason can attest to the fact that Lee can't exactly throw the ball around the joint with the backup qb. They are forced to run, which they are much better at this year, but still not that great. They are forced to throw 2 or 3 specific types of passes that can be defensed with good speed in the secondary. It will be no walk in the park. If Moses is back, I think Lee can put up 35-40 on anyone in the district. I'm not so sure how well Lee can stop PAM either. Kingwood never stopped them. PAM just turned the ball over. Would be Lee's luck that PAM plays a flawless game.
  19. Can't be fumbling around like that PAM. Gotta take advantage of the fact that Kingwood's defense stinks.
  20. Newcost took one in. It was mainly passing and some scrambling to get down the field. Is anyone else listening to tsrn? This color analyst has only spoken twice through the first quarter lol I cringe when he starts to speak. The play by play guy is good enough, just let him do it.
