  1. The article makes no mention of how strong her leg is, but it does mention she is accurate enough to have put points on the board for her team this season. Who knows, maybe she kicks them deep enough on kickoffs that there is no threat of a runback.
  2. Plenty of good rivalries in the area, but none are as storried or as intense as Ned/PNG.
  3. No, Ned's scoreboard appeared to be working fine last Friday night. The "Welcome" sign on the north end of the stadium got ripped up by the storm, but it was repaired by last week's game.
  4. Hmmmmm, interesting. I am already anxious to see what might end up at Bulldog Stadium. 8)
  5. I agree, UT is a little late with that decision.
  6. Those are all good and valid points, however they are also calculated risks that the coach is comfortable with. The coach allowed her on the team b/c of her kicking ability, and that is the capacity in which she is being used. I'm sure if she kicks one or two game-winning FG's, her teammates won't mind that she wasn't on the field for K/O returns.
  7. Even though she may not hang around after a K/O to try & stop a 220 lb. speedster headed her way, it sounds like she has plenty of support from her coach, teammates, and community. I don't see the harm in her running off the field after a kick. If it was my daughter, I wouldn't want her out there trying to make tackles either. Evidently, the Rams needed a kicker and she did a better job of kicking than any of others who may have tried out.
  8. I would like to run an informal poll to guage the real interest of having college football return to Beaumont and Lamar. If in a 10-game season, Lamar would play 5 games in Beaumont, and if the cost of 1 season ticket was between $80-85, would you buy and if so, how many? I based the cost on the average season ticket prices at Sam Houston ($75), Texas State ($84), and McNeese State ($90).
  9. I would be happy with the championship level, and all the nearby rivalries that would come with it. If, after some time, the program gets strong and attracts a good fan base, maybe they could test the waters against D-I teams, like Montana & NH have done this year. If the results are favorable then by all means, consider moving up to D-I.
  10. At this point for me, I'd have to say Ned's defense.
  11. Unfortunately, that is still an area of opportunity for us.
  12. Uhhh, which Dogs? Waller's mascot is a Bulldog too.

  14. Waller will prove to be a much tougher opponent than Forest Brook was. As long as Ned continues to show improvement in the passing and kicking game, I will be happy. It is all about being ready (and healthy) when the district games begin.

  16. Dravanti Johnson is still a monster on Defense.
  17. Although no one is really standing out at this point, our passing game did show some improvement over Week 0.
  18. I saw where the Enterprise stated "about 12,000". That is the only attendance figure I have seen so far. It did not state if that was the total from all four teams, or give any other specifics.
  19. Clemson @ Boston College Ohio State @ Texas Washington @ Oklahoma Mississippi @ Missouri Penn State @ Notre Dame Texas Tech @ UTEP Georgia @ South Carolina Iowa @ Syracuse Oregon @ Fresno State Colorado @ Colorado State
  20. Both Vidor's & Dewyville's helmets look sharp. I'll be honest though, I do prefer the black & gold on Vidor's.
