The Catters had 4500+ fans last Saturday night - and that was when 8500+ fans were in the Montange Center for LU's homecoming game. Believe it or not, there are many diehard hockey fans in this area and many more casual hockey fans. Having a hockey team in Ford Arena can only do good things for SETX in general & Ford Park in particular.

From what little research I have done, the CHL seems to be the direction the new owners are leaning toward, but obviously nothing is close to being finalized at this stage. A formal announcement is expected in a couple of weeks.

Same here, it was my first game in years & I had a great time. I hope that hockey does somehow find a way to stay in the area.

Tough loss for the Catters last night. For any novice fans out there, hockey is a lot more fun the closer you are to the glass! I was sitting 3rd row last night & it was way cooler than when I sat up in the suites a few years ago. I wonder if Hockey fan got any pics from last night's game. Those hot pick shorts were . . . short!!!

Wow!! When I started reading it sounded like a pretty good deal - then I read about the 80/20 splits. My guess is that that is gonna be hard for the Catters to give up, although I do hope they will.
