Well then by all means... PN-G should just not show up and embarrass themselves with their ugly helmets.  ::) They should just give it to Dayton and tell their fans to stay home. Really 7mary3???
Nederland game = Totally different level of playing...doesn't matter the record, always tough, anyone can take that game Crosby game = Went in WAY to confident coming off a slamming of a weak Gregory Portland team. Underestimated those freakishly good twins. Lost by a point. Livingston Game = the BULL MAYES ( all the difference in the world)!!!!!!! Mayes didn't play after us....if he would have I think you see an entirely different playoff scene Believe me we are not taking Dayton lightly....Know that their losses came to some tough teams with the exception of GCM (5 turnovers! :o) Fine with us to be overrated....just show up and play our game and we'll win.... 8)
I think it's going to be a coin flip, could go either way.  I think Dayton has had just a tad more adversity this year than PNG and this will help them in the post season.  IMO Dayton did way better than I thought they would this year.  Good luck to both teams.
So taking a design after LSU and TCU is an ugly helmet? All Dayton does is copy the Colts.
2. Buna didn't win by enough points.
3. Unless the person is recording the practice and breaking down plays who cares if they are at a practice. I remember people that weren't from PN-G swinging by our practices and it was never an issue. I would hardly call this spying.
4. With 23 district titles, 3 state championships and 3 state finalists.
5. The list of winningest programs is incomplete. I covered when PN-G got their 500th victory a few years ago on a weeknight after Hurricane Rita. I think they have 541 now.
6. District 16-3A Rusk 570 Diboll 502 Huntington 544 Jasper 729 Center 624 Buna 477 ------------- District 20-3A Silsbee 822 Bridge City 762 West Orange-Stark 689 Hardin-Jefferson 570 Hamshire-Fannett 533 Orangefield Huffman Hargrave 962.5 Liberty
7. JJ is not built to be a RB. I'm the guy that asked the coaches the question in the Press Conference about getting him and Bevil on the field at the same time but I was thinking as a WR, wildcat or him at QB and Bevil at WR. Whitten is saying he wants to develop JJ into the QB for the Cards, remember he is a freshman. To be honest year two back was not going to be a title contending year anyway so why would you want JJ at RB and get a shoulder injury?
8. North Shore over CV is no longer a sure thing.
9. Not surprised by how close this game was at all. This is not the CV of the past. I told people they would play PA tough and I picked them to beat the Bruins tonight. I'm always happy when a local team proves me wrong. Great job Brook!
10. Tiebreaker Games Saturday at Vidor Bridge City vs Orangefield/WO-S, 2 PM PN-G vs LC-M, 4 PM
11. I never look too deeply into early regular season games when it comes to playoff previews. Teams change a ton and any team can get hot at the right time. PN-G's State Finalist team only beat Kelly 14-10 in their opener. They also beat Silsbee with ease in non-district 36-14 but only beat the Tigers 17-10 in Bi-District.
12. They added the endzone seating numbers to the home side. With all the new disability regulations, safety regulations, etc. it tougher to expand stands. If you look at the home side there are huge spaces between rows because of the new regulations. The Rez still holds the same amount that it did before the upgrade.
13.

Just find a way to win, baby. I watched the French Buffaloes do it all the way to a State Title game.
I watched a 2000 WOS team that had very little offense in the regular season find a way win to all the way to the State Title game.  Ozen, Bay City, PNG and Nederland are the regular season games that come to mind.
Beat PN-G 7-0 that year.
14. That outright district title means alot so Nederland will bring out all the guns in my opinion.
15. I'm not buying the cost of cleaning thing either. Just another false rumor spread.
16.
The comment about the LCM mascot incident...The Indian Spirit is something we take serious around here, Unlike most schools it isnt some clown in a costume cutting up. There are countless hours that go into the tradition...I dont expect anyone outside of PN-G to understand that .. As far as your school song being cut short I'm sure that wasnt intentional.
The Spirit that year was my good friend Billy Morgan. The Bear "playfully" crossed the field and pushed him from behind and Billy pushed him back with principals seperating the two (the tape exists on this and many variations of the story have spread). The Indian Spirit is not like a goofy mascot that plays around etc. It's a representation of the Native Americans that were nice enough to pass down their traidtional dance to our school. The Bear had to come apologize to our school the next week.
17. Think Coach Williams said the Titans will be in the Bulldog Classic.
18. It is crazy that 3 teams in a 4 team district make the playoffs but they didn't make the rules. Best of luck to the Mustangs. I remember when Burkeville was a power, State Finalists 2000 and State Champs 2001 and 1986 under Coach Harper.
19. That was last week here's the Oct. 10th teams 10. Sam Houston St. 22. McNeese St. Receiving Votes 33. Texas St. (Independent) 40. Central Arkansas

22.
Univ of La, Monroe used to be Northeast La before both they and Lafeyette had their names changed.
True they went by NLU, that was their logo.
23. NEL? I've heard NSU, NWLA, NW St but never NEL??? lol
