Then you have to submit to an online interview that is reviewed by the owners of the site. If they agree for you to be a moderator, you send in your registration fees and once they are accepted, you can moderate. Wouldn't that be great for candid answers. One of the coaches thinks his receivers are horrible, we just don't know which one of the dozens of teams in the area he was talking about.

Not if you did it like I suggested....not that any coach would take us up on it. You could however have a forum of moderated questions. I have seen that done at many public forums where people write down questions and a moderator asks them of the speaker.

That's the old argument, if you think you can do better, you coach but if you haven't been there, don't criticize. Of course, then we could never criticize the police unless we have been one, you can't criticize a teacher unless you are a teacher and only three former presidents are alive and since they are the only ones that have been there, they are the only ones that can criticize President Bush. If everyone had to be in another person's position in order to criticize that person then almost no one can criticize anything. Freedom of speech is a great thing and I think that I retain the right to look into anyone else's profession or make any criticism without having to have been in their shoes in order to do so.

There is a way that such a forum could work but I still don't think that coaches have the time or inclination to do so. For it to work and be respectful, there would have to be a locked thread for only mods or admins. That part is easy. Next, if someone wanted to ask a question of a coach, they would have to PM a moderator. The mods/admins could choose a limited number of questions to send to the coach and he could respond. That way, legitimate questions could be asked but you would have a buffer between the members and the coaches to keep out the abuse and accusations.

They both hung about 350 yards of offense on each other. With 700 yards of total offense for the night, it didn't look like a lot of D on either side. I think PN-G had three interceptions on the night which probably had a huge impact. I guess that is what they call a bend but don't break defense.

No. For one, I doubt that they have the time. Second, have you seen some of the threads about coaches on here? Just imagine if one of the coaches actually opened himself up for questions from this group. Yikes................ While I think a discussion with a coach in an honest and respectful manner would be very interesting, I don't think it can work in this format.

This 4A district might not make a serious run for the state title but LM doesn't play in both divisions. Also, do you think that LM is the only team to make adjustments? What a sensational discovery by the LM coaching staff, a team can make adjustments during the year. I need to call some of the coaches in this area and let them in on the secret. Thanks.

I think that is what WOS87 said. Those were not his feelings on how good the teams may be but purely statistics. Like you said, they are interesting numbers. Everyone knows however that you can't compare records of who you play and you can't compare scores. Teams in these types of statistics basically get punished because their opponents had lousy records.
