Being one dimensional obviously hurts but even so, Nederland lost their starting quarterback the first game, came in with a sophomore and were still in the playoff hunt until the last game of the season. Even then, it was the defense that kept them out of the playoffs, not the one dimensional offense.

I thought that was just in the talking stage and had not been accepted.

Let's see, if we get another dimension to the offense, if we tackle better and if........ .... we should be in the playoffs.

By the time the football season gets around in 2009, the cost of gas will be about $6 (or more) a gallon. I wonder how many fans will be willing to drive 300+ miles. It will be a $100+ trip just for the gasoline.

Isn't it up/north on the Sabine River from Sabine Lake about half way between Cow Bayou and the Port of Orange?

I did some more checking and I think they are going to lay a 42" pipeline about 4 feet deep under Keith Lake (right down the center of it). To start, they are going to bring in tons of sand and build a platform/penninsula several hundred feet out into the lake near Junior's launch next to Hwy 87.

I am not sure about BCP and French. BCP was only a school for about 10 years. I'm not sure how you develop a big rivalry when you barely existed. Before that however, the two schools that combined to make BCP (Beaumont High School and Charlton Pollard High School) had very big rivalries. Beaumont High Royal Purples and South Park High Greenies were huge rivalries as well as Hebert High Panthers and Charlton-Pollard High Bulldogs.

I have heard that they are about to lay a pipeline from the new LNG plant in Sabine Pass right across Keith Lake.

They dredge all along the ship channel every so often anyway. It muddies up the water for a short time but the tidal changes get rid of it pretty quick.

I've caught redfish and flounder there but I haven't been in about three or four years.... or in other words, Post-Rita.
