Do NOT worry Vidor Pirate supporters... as long as all the other sports programs do well, we're happy with how the football is performing. and I guess by all other sports programs that are doing, they are talking about swimming and powerlifting.

Time to send another email to the school board and superintendent.

Maybe I need to look into working for VISD. Underachieve and you get praised. -

But he's a great mentor. It's not about winning and losing... everyone deserves trophies. -

A couple more years. That's when Mathews would be eligible to return. -

Dubois let the DC go when he should have let himself go! -
Not really. Silsbee did not play good.

My bad... either way, Vidor is not good and if they continue down this slot-t road, it's only going to get worse.

I'm taking Lumberton by a dose

Vidor has only played one half of football in 3 games. That half was against HF… Vidor was up 21-7 at halftime. Ended up losing 49-28

Close first half.... LCM pulls away in the second half Bears by 12

Do I think those players make it as far with Vidor's current coaches? No. Dustin Long is not making it to a&m to play QB throwing the ball 3-5 times a game. Roschon Johnson is not making it to UT to play QB throwing the ball 3-5 times a game. Roschon would have been recruited as a RB. The O-lineman is not making it to UT only knowing how to run block. -

No. Vidor does not have a graduate playing in the NFL. Vidor has not had a QB make it to the NFL. Vidor does not have an O-Lineman playing D1 (Power 5) football. -

I'm hoping that the boos get loud enough, and enough people speak up to the right people (SB & SI). Maybe then those people in decision-making roles will start taking the football program a bit more seriously. -

That can be said for just about any and everything. For every successful business, there are double, triple the number of failed businesses... but those people that failed... does that make them any less, cause their business failed?!?! No. Absolutely not. But I ask you again, why does it matter to you if the players and football supporters in Vidor want a coaching change?!?! Shouldn't have any effect on your far superior huffman football team. -

The lights are on but nobody is home, huh? 🤦🏼‍♂️ Why doesn’t it matter to you if Vidor wants change or if a change brings the number back up on the field and in the stands or if a change motivates the current players?!? Does Vidors HC have incriminating evidence against you or something? 🤔 A coaching change has done good for some area teams like OF, BC, LCM, and I’m sure I’m forgetting a couple other teams. Those coaches came and got the kids to buy in to their culture and so far it’s working pretty good. Also, those teams that I mentioned are NOT leaps and bounds better than Vidor when it comes to talent to levels. -

Good lawd man…. Right now it’s not about who do I think they would beat. Right now it’s about building the programs numbers. Building support from the community. Being competitive from start to finish. Play 4qtrs of football in all 3 phases of the game. -

Energize the program by brining the numbers back up. Put more fans back in the stands. Be more competitive year in year out. -

Haven’t said they’re bad. All I’ve said is that a change is needed. Someone who can reel the kids back in, motivate them, and energize the program. -

Your point being?? None. But I’ll bit on the “not because there has never been good coaches in Vidor. So, since you’re well versed on the head coaches that have been head coaches at Vidor… who do you think some of the good coaches are? -

Did they see the coaching change.... you doubt they know much about any of those other schools?!?!... lol, huh?!?! The schools I'm talking about (OF, BC, LCM) are within 10-20 minutes of Vidor. Sooooo, yes, the kids know about the coaching changes at other schools. Kids today know more about what's happening at other schools than kids did 20-30 years ago. Kids are more connected to other kids at different area schools.... Social media, travel sports, etc. 🤦‍♂️ And take you "historically horrible" somewhere else. -

Nope sure don't. Last year was a losing year with a lot of upperclassmen. *Point being... Freshman, Sophomore, Jr. Sr., whatever.... They do not want to play for this coach. Kids are smart enough to see what a coaching change did for programs like OF, BC, LCM.
