1.
sweat pants would be much less comfortable than the regular uniform
LoL you are right windpants are more comfortable for coaches never disagreed with that but the question is not on comfort.
2.
so a staff all wearing the same wind suit on an 8 am christmas break tournament game is unprofessional?
Then they should let the kids wear sweatpants during the game... An 8 A.M. Christmas break tournament game is no less important than a regular non-district game.
3. I'm saying Jeans or Windpants is unacceptable. I did not say that makes someone a better coach. Did not say anything about basketball coaches being football coaches I said ADs are football coaches. I am saying it is more professional to dress for a basketball game.
4. If coaches hold their own players to a high standard then they need to hold themselves to a high standard.  Dressing up for basketball games is one way to look professional.  The main problem with area schools is that athletic directors do not hold their coaches to a high standard, obviously because they are football coaches and could care less what happens on the basketball court.  Look at the bigger districts around the state where the football coach is not AD and you will see all the coaches dressing up for the games.  It sends a message to the kids, parents, and schools that their sport means business and they will promote a professional program.  IMO no jeans or windpants ever you can't even wear that in your classroom.
5. UK get off the message boards and start preparing for the game!!!
6. I have talked to several friends of mine who are college coaches about recruiting at AAU tournaments.  They hate it.  There are too many tournaments in the summer and they usually are not even evaluating anyway they are just showing face so that the kids can see that they actually care about them.  How many AAU games have you seen with helpside defense?
7. Basically you are saying that the UCONN Girls can beat a Mens college team because basically that is what Yates is.
8. That's a low blow, but I am sure you have seen plenty of games involving Cleveland this year.
9. That was not directed to you but your comment was harsh.....but this district does have the best team in the region and you are right the other teams are not on that level.  The district usually has two solid teams with Coldspring and Cleveland and if I am not mistaken Splendora has beaten Hardin Jefferson and WOS in 05-06 and 06-07 respectively to knock them out of the playoffs.  I am not saying that the district is better than theirs but you saying that they are all "very horrible" is wrong.  However, the distict is definitely down this year.
10. You cannot judge teams based on the score of other games.  Cleveland has the ability to turn it on or off in this district.
11.
James white..... Cleveland 62, fb hightower 53
Wow....that is a big win for Cleveland.
12. If he is that good how did they finish third in the district...
13. I watched Phillip Davis in HS.....The comment is true.  He did kick it through the uprights on kickoffs.  He was an amazing athlete.
14. It is very sad that there is even a discussion on this. In fact it is embarrassing to see Cleveland in this topic because Cleveland has made strides in the sportsmanship department. The horn started out for just touchdowns and beginning the game why is it being used for anything else? This discussion is rediculous but yet is not surprising.
15. I do not see HJ scoring in this one unless it is late in the 4th quarter. Clevelands defense will be unreal this year. The sky is the limit for Cleveland if they can stay healthy and eligible.
