They lost one of those 3 out of district games too, to Deer Park in double overtime.
See, it’s not just about BH moving up to 6A, it’s about what 6A District they’re going to go into. GCCISD is redrawing attendance zones this Summer to get GCM back down to 5A when UIL redraws Districts in 2026. That means UIL will have to fill that empty spot and BH is only 15 minutes from GCM so they’d be the obvious choice. Oh yeah, did I mention that the 6A District I’m talking about is District 23? The toughest District in the state? #3 North Shore, #5 Atascocita, #20 Summer Creek, #60 CE King, #150 Kingwood, #160 Humble all in that District. #734 Channelview is the only easy win in that District after GCM drops down. If GCM ends up dropping down and BH goes up it means no more playoffs for BH, they’d be permanent 5th-6th place if that happens UNLESS they find a way to REALLY toughen up. Better to do it now before they make the jump.
