  1. Not implying that LU should or should not keep Roc, but the last three games are the first time in five years that he actually started two players taller than 6' 7" in a game and rarely did he play with that kind of size even though it was on the bench.  Remember last years hype, tallest team ever at Lamar and oh yeah most of the time the tallest one on the court was Nabors at 6'6" and three guards 6' or shorter.
  2. Reading between the lines, players feelings don't count, but Roc's do.  They will sit on the bench if they are not practicing as hard as he thinks they should be.
  3. Give it a break Terror,  Lamar has only played two games this year that they did not have a lead deep into the second half.  Lamar has injured players also.  But again you have proven that you will use any excuse not to give Lamar credit for a legitimate win.
  4. I have had season tickets since the Giovani days.  I will go because the players are still playing hard.  If we all believe the problem is in the coaching then the players deserve our support.
  5. Very interesting first three calls on Gresham Live are vents about LU blowing another lead and implying Roc should be gone.
  6. Even though it was a loss, is it possible that Roc can see the positive of playing two bigs and moving Lamb to the wing?  It seemed like the choke times started when we did not have two of the three 6' 9" plus guys in at the same time.
  7. Will Hofferth tick Roc off by asking how you can blow an 18 point lead?  Didn't get the chance, no post game interview.
  8. 2nd time this year Harris has a chance to tie or win a game at the free throw line and chokes.
  9. Typical Lamar, gets tight in the 2nd half and our guards all of a sudden think their unstoppable and force the ball for bad shots and turnovers.
  10. Let's see Custer plays first eight or nine minutes scores six points and sits on the bench remainder of half.  26 total fouls in first half, 16 on LU
  11. 37 - 31 LU at the half.  In perfect position to finish with another blown lead.
  12. From up 20 - 2 to 23 -16 , no lead is safe with these guys and our great coaching.
  13. Lasted about five minutes.  Brown out and Harper in.  Lamar has its double didget lead.  Would have liked to seen Osas in and keep the height in
  14. Proably won't stay with it, but for the first time that I can think of Roc actually starting two bigs at one time.  Starting Custer and Brown plus Lamb, Miles and Donnely.
  15. A move to the WAC mght force SHSU to move from the SLC but it does not necessarily force them to go FBS as their fans on here seem to imply.  If one does not want to be FBS then they could look for a better FCS conference to get into.  Travel costs would probably be much higher but strength of schedule for NCAA basketball and baseball could be much better.
  16. I would pretty much guarantee that the WAC Commish would not be allowed to say anything in regards to possible talks with LU to the SLC Commish.  That would open the WAC up to potential legal liability.  Think about it, next year will be the last for UTSA and San Marcos in the SLC and because of the upcoming move I believe they have already been told they will not be eligible for conference championships.
  17. On the bright side they can't blow a second half lead toninght.  Maybe that will change their season.  Probably not.
  18. Well, I am not sure he ever coached LU to a big victory,  because we haven't had one I can think of since Bubba Skelton left.
  19. Provided they sell out all games Lamar has a large enough stadium to meet the FBS attendance requirements, which oh by the way don't really seem to be enforced.  On a basketball note how bad is the SLC that Lamar is 3 & 5 and only two games in the loss column from 1st place.
  20. Yes, same song next verse.  Had a chance to win, got to a three point lead with about five minutes to go after trailing most of the game.
