I have not seen Jasper play this year. But I still see where some are saying they are better than Silsbee. What is your opiniom of this since you have played both? I  would put more value on your opinion for that reason
I would give the edge to Silsbee because they can exploit Jasper's secondary. Otherwise fairly even. Speed matchup is very close.
I agree.

Just wondering why so many are predicting an easy win or even a shut out for WOS. They are in the playoffs and they did win 7 games. Didn't WOS win 7 regular season games last year and they went 4 rounds deep in the playoffs? All I'm saying is at this time of the year you can't afford to take anyone lightly. If you do then you very well will find yourselves playing basketball.
My thoughts exactly...
 3. Yes the field is in bad shape right now, between the hashes as AAW said. BUT, I know it's not from a lack of effort. That stadium crew they have there are on the ball and very helpful. Gotta be the best or one of the best with taking care of anything you need, stadium wise, as any I've ever seen. They should be commended.
 4. WOS 8th "A" and "B" finished the season 8-0 and 6-0.

After the play he was hurt it was 3rd and 7. They never had a sustained drive all night. He broke two long runs and that's it. So no, he wasn't the difference, like I said earlier. He wasn't last year and he wasn't this year. He is a great player and I pray his injury wasn't serious.
Ok.. Lol without him on defense, they moved the ball. With him on defense, they didn't. When they ran the ball with him, he moved the ball.
So are you saying that Mike J is all that Silsbee's got? It sure sounds like it... One man show? Again, he played the whole game last year and the result was a 20-6 loss. He played 70% of this game and it was a 30-12 loss. ONCE AGAIN, he is a great player, but he does not make up the difference. WOS is just a better TEAM! WOS wins that game even if he is in great shape and played every single snap, punt, kick and return... it makes no difference...
 6. Yes, white boy, you are correct!  ;)
 7. They got the ball on the 50 after a short punt... After the play he was hurt it was 3rd and 7. They never had a sustained drive all night. He broke two long runs and that's it. 8. First let me say that Mike J is an outstanding player. There is no question there. But, him not playing after getting hurt late in the 3rd had no bearing on this game. He was playing when silsbee fell behind 22-0. He did have a couple of great runs that resulted in TD's. but other than those he was held in check and had several runs for loss. Silsbee punted 5 times WITH Mike in the game. Again, great player, but this game was never in question.
 9. 30-12 final in the 8th grade game.
 10. It's pretty rough...but it is what it is. We both gotta play on it.
 11. Great venue!! Wish we were playing that close!
 12. Yes we are WAY behind the 8 ball in this area as far as turf goes.
 13. It is, most definitely, a district game!
 14. I'm sure the Middle School games played on it last year during a driving rain storm didn't help either.
 15. Absolutely! It will be a battle!
 16. I realize that, and the answer is yes he did play last year, but he did not make the difference. What makes you think he will this year?
 17. What difference does it make who was playing and who wasn't? They still lost and they still got a loss for that one which is keeping this from being for the district title. If you are just talking about winning or losing. Did Mike J play in the game against WOS last year?
 18.
What are the team records so far? 7th & 8th Bridge City Buna Hamshire Fannett Hardin Jefferson Orangefield Silsbee West Orange
8th I can only give you what I know: WOS 7-0 District 5-0 BC District 4-1 OF District 4-1 Silsbee District 3-2
 19. Silsbee 8th is not even in the district title race... They lost 30-6 to Orangefield and 13-6 to BC. WOS 8th is undefeated and has at least a share of the district title locked up and if head to head is considered in the district when ties come into play, then they already have the title won because the only other teams with only one loss are OF and BC who WOS beat....
 20. I think OF will grind this one out, shorten the game and take the win! 21-14
 21.
I find it hard to believe that he would play this year. I think it would have to be a team vote if he did. You don't mess with chemistry.
Normally, I would too. But this is a little different situation than normal. He is from WOS and all of the players know him. If they did put it to a vote, I think they would vote "yes".
 22.

So we could use him during the playoffs? Is he a jr.?
He is a Junior and will be available to play in the 2nd round of the playoffs if we are fortunate enough to get there. He is a 6'0" speedster and give WOS some break away speed at RB.
?? Gas, how did this happen?
That probably shouldn't be discussed on this thread.
I agree

But we still have play who is infront of us. We all know what happened in the 1st round last year (7-0 win against Bridge City). And WOS, you will not make it out of the region with all your D1 recruits. Navasota, La Marque, or Coldspring will take care of you.
WO-S fans appreciate your wishful thinking, as usual, this time of the year.  We'll concern ourselves with Silsbee first, then our first round opponent, which will not be any of the teams you named.  You seem to worry more about WO-S and a couple of bragging posters than you do your own team.  ::) Here's some news for you...this year's Coldspring team isn't last year's Coldspring team.  Several teams in this region are better than LCM...so be worried...be very very worried.  ;)
Your are right, this year's CS team is not last year's team.  They are better.  Just in case someone missed it, LCM beat Coldspring this year.  Okay now that we have that out of the way.  Coldspring played like crap against LCM.  LCM won.  Here's some news for you....Coldspring ran all over WOS last year, and I know WOS is loaded with DI talent that they recruited over the summer and are not the same team that got donkey stomped last year.  Be Coldspring has a better offense this year, so a better CS offense against a better WOS defense =same result.  But, until we beat Bridge City, LaMarque, and Navasota, we won't have to worry about it.  Looks like WOS will get Cleveland in the 1st round.  Hopefully WOS comes out of that game better than CS, and the thugs from Cleveland don't cripple all of that DI talent and give you some excuse to whine about when LM, Coldspring, or Navasota roll over your mustangs.
Funny how you CS fans can dismiss a beating by LCM and somehow rationalize a win over a team who they didn't even get inside the redzone against... Too funny.
Wasn't a beating.  Simply a loss.  And yes, once again, LCM won.  Who have we played that we did not get in the redzone against?
UHHH....He was pointing to the fact that CS, was beaten by LCM, who never made it into the redzone against WOS. You already Drunk? Lol
That way we are able to justify how our coach could possibly take the starters out of the game when we are winning by 50 points, and let the other team score instead of throwing up a shut out so that the fans can compare our stats and claim that we are the 3rd best in the country.
And another rationalization... Does it scare you that bad to think WOS MAY be that good?
 24.
Silsbee by 10  ;)
Buddy, those flag football beat downs still sting a little bit, don't they?  ;D ;) 8)
