  1. Crosby fumbles on 4th and short on their first drive of the second half. 13-10 Dogs with 8:30 left in 3rd. Announcers just said Crosby has a new center which has caused a number of bad snaps.
  2. Nederland needs to do something to change momentum. Crosby is moving the ball well, and Nederland's offense can't put anything together aside from the first drive. Lot of football left though.
  3. Most of Crosby's touchdown drive came from one run where Nederland missed about 4 tackles.
  4. Is the kicker hurt? He missed a couple extra points last week, but he had been nails before that.
  5. Where are you gettin audio? 560 is carrying Lamar basketball where I'm at
  6. Word I got today is it will be a game-time decision. If he can't go, Zach Sonnier will start at QB. Zach is a good enough athlete to pose problems for the Nederland defense, but it would be at the expense of losing your best receiver. That being said, I expect Gonzalez to play.
  7. I think the health of Hunter Gonzalez will go a long way in determining the score of this game. What's his status? I saw earlier in the thread where someone said he had a sprained knee and ankle. He's a tough kid.
  8. This thread is a joke... What on earth would possess you to put 11-12 yr old kids initials on a thread?
  9. I've heard a lot of good things about the GTB 14U team and that young coach they have. With those numbers, you gotta be doin' something right! Good luck to them the rest of the season.
  10. Good job MC 16's! Keep it up guys. Coby Richard is on fire, where did all this hitting come from?
  11. Bellow's slider made a lot of those Mustang hitters look '3rd Class.' I can't believe the parents act like that...I guess the kids must get it honestly. Besides that, Friendswood has some kids that have some pretty good swings, and they are pretty athletic overall. Dean should have his work cut out for him with all those lefties in the lineup. Give credit to the 'Dogs once again though. They continue to out will, out think, and outlast everyone they play. It ain't about how you win now, just about winning. Good luck again tonight.
  12. Former Nederland Bulldog and current Mid-County Babe Ruth coach Ryan Brauninger was named to ESPN the Magazine's Academic All-American team yesterday. He is only the third baseball player in McNeese history to be named to the team. Here is the article per McNeese's website...Congrats [Hidden Content]
  13. With the way Vidrine has developed (both mentally and physically), it seems to me that he is Nederland's best option at SS with Pitts moving over to second. Either way, those two have played together for a couple of years now and could be the best double play combination in SE Texas
  14. There has NEVER been a talent problem at Nederland. There has been, at least in the last couple years, an attitude problem. This year is much of the same. There's talent everywhere from all classes. Coach Robbins will do a good job of putting that talent where it needs to be, trust me. If the kids' attitudes are where they need to be (which they should be behind leaders like Vidrine and Terracina), then the 'Dogs could make a run again this year.
  15. P - Matt Hicks (Bridge City Cardinals) C - Stefan Leger (LC-M Battlin' Bears) 1B - Chad Sims (Vidor Pirates) 2B - Chaz Bruce (Vidor Pirates) SS - Jude Vidrine (Nederland Bulldogs) 3B - Taylor Eaves (Hamshire-Fannet Longhorns) LF - Tim Barry (LC-M Battlin' Bears) CF - Blake Reyenga (PN-G Indians) RF - Trae Hester (Vidor Pirates) DH - Kirby Bellow (Nederland Bulldogs) Honorable Mention - Sean O'Connell (Kelly Bulldogs)
  16. Wow...what a roster. I challenge anyone to find one of these highly touted select teams that could play with that team because I don't think there is one.

  19. If the guy has only walked 10 in 71 innings and struck out 98 then that means he is gonna come right at you. Probably fastball/slider guy...I don't think patience is necessarily the primary factor in beating this guy. If he's gonna be around the strike zone like his numbers indicate, you better be ready to hit or you will consistantly be in 0-2 and 1-2 counts.
  20. That's good to hear. I know you guys put in a lot of time for that league, and its track record in post season play really shows that. I know we, as parents, cannot say enough about the job you guys do for the community and high school players. Any chance the new coach is the young man that coached the 16 yr olds last year? The parents over here in HF have been raving about that guy.
  21. Admin, do you have a list of the coaches and what teams they will coach? I know many are usually the same but there seems to be some kind of turnover every year. Thanks in advance.
  22. any idea of who will be coaching the teams this year? I know that a lot of the guys are regulars, but there seems to be some turnover every year. I'd like to see the young guy that coached the 16 year old all stars again. Some of the parents in Fannet really seemed to like that guy.
  23. VOP, I wouldn't say Nederland hasn't been successful in recent years. Yes, last year they missed playoffs but they were extremely young and lacked solid senior leadership....however in '05 they were undefeated Dist.Champs and #2 in the state, in '06 they made another quality run in the playoffs. They are the same group this year as last, except with a little more experience. We will see how they stack up in what is already an extremely deep 22-4a.
  24. calm down MIF...the SunDevils organization is lucky that Dugas/Fackler don't run the Beaumont Explosion Club anymore. If I remember correctly they used to run through yall pretty good and on more than one occasion might I add.
