This is very surprising, Buna had a dang good team. I hate that our district got only 1 team out of the bi-district round. It seemed like the district was pretty strong this year.

How so? Orangefield is typically better than Lumberton (outside of Mcclure years). I guess I am a little bit biased, I would love to get to watch Mitchell coach 2x a year.

Congrats to Coach Landry, I remember watching his clubs when he was at HF. You could tell early on he was a good one.

Does he play football? If so this could be a very realistic scenario, LCM tends to get several "Move-ins" on the gridiron.

Ive heard Huffman is about to be really good again, Lumberton will just reload with some really good players, the Pirates always beat the bears, and Livingston is always a major wild card. The Bears will have their work cut out for them. Did they graduate heavy as well?

Is this the guy that got escorted out of our gym this year after the Orangefield game? Playing too fast and out of control could be a recipe for the Bobcats to not have much success, they have been really skilled lately but never overly athletic.

Same Scales who plays for Orangefield? If that happened it could be a made for TV reality series.

He would be a great candidate, I believe he played for Coach Sutherland at HJ.

Very good ball player for the Panthers, he had to be one of the better true post players in the area.

This job will be interesting to follow, Orangefield has put some solid clubs on the floor recently.

It sure seems like Buna is having a really hard time keeping good coaches around, Whitmire/Girrola/& now Connell. Hopefully they figure it out soon enough.

Orange County has put together some good ballplayers in recent years, congrats to all those young men and coaches.

My poor Bucs are struggling, hopefully the new field will increase the interest on the diamond.

I guess its the society we live in now. All district teams should have around 6-8 guys on it.

Perrault had an All-State type of season, hate that he didnt make it.

Wow... a couple things stand out on this list, and I saw every team in the district when they came to winnie. No superlatives for East Chambers is ridiculous Green not being on first team is ridiculous. Keep in mind We were ranked in the top 15 a good portion of the year. Orangefield only having only 1 guy on 1st team is a joke, Either their coach is the new phil jackson or coaches openly chose to not to vote for EC or Orangefield guys. How is Orangefield even ranked by the looks of this list. Buna having 3 first teamers is absurd, they squeaked into the playoffs in and barely were 500. Soapbox over,

Central Heights and Diboll played them to competitive games in December. Hitchcock is the favorite, but I would say they play in one of the worst 3A districts in the state and they have not been in competitive games in a while. I know from watching Orangefield they are battle tested. Anything can happen on a given night.
