I won't make it to the Regional finals in Huntsville. Whoever comes out of Region 3, hopefully Silsbee, will be on TV Thursday. Saturday too if it goes that far. At least that's how it happened last year.

Somebody answer this for me. I randomly chose to go watch the Klein forest vs Westfield playoff game, which KF won. I haven't been paying much attention to either team or to high school basketball in Houston, except where Silsbee was involved. Question: what happened to Klein Forest' star pg Kenneth Morris. He is not playing with them now. Did he get hurt? Was he suspended? I am curious about what happened to him.

Lincoln had about 10 or 12 losses Dec '15. Paris had not lost but maybe once or twice and was # 1 in 4A. One of those Paris losses was to Lincoln. When they played that second time and Lincoln beat them again, the 2nd time by 10, I knew then Lincoln was for real. Owned them, beat them twice, call it what you want, but Paris faded off the scene after that, in my mind anyway. Maybe it's different this year. I don't think Paris is ranked in the top ten, so Ion k about them this season.

Maybe North Forest compares favorably to some of the "lesser oppenents" up North, maybe they don't. I do like the way Silsbee handled that game. I tuned into the podcast on an iphone, blue toothed that thru the car speakers and before I got two or three blocks away from work it was already 11-2 Silsbee.

Lincoln is maybe 3 or 4 games away, depending on pairing in SA, depending on a lot of things. Need to lace 'em up with La Vega first. Vega is always there, sorta like the Ronnie Laws joint. Football, basketball perhaps track, La Vega somewhere in the mix. Ion k much about Waco, but I'm guessing La Vegas got some cool in that neighborhood, but I digress. Plenty of b ball drama lined up this weekend in Huntsville & other places. When the dust settles late Saturday night, Sunday morning the playoff picture will be much clearer. Hopefully the Silsbee Tigers will be still standing.

Lincoln owned Paris last year.

That's why D Lincoln is so tough down the stretch. They are battle tested. Silsbee played a strong non district schedule, no doubt. That doesn't compare to fighting thru a strong district and region. It's not Silsbee's fault. It is what it is.

The great equalizer for Silsbee basketball and Silsbee sports in general is SETXsports, this forum. Hats off to AAW. I am over here in Houston and I can keep up with my favorite team, the Silsbee Tigers boys basketball team, better than I can the local Houston teams. Many of the local neighborhood kids go to Klein Forest, or Eisenhower or Jersey Village. I know more about the Silsbee team than I do about Klein Forest and KF is right up the street. That's the era we live in. The print media is drying up. TV covers a lot of territory. Just in sports you got all these high schools sports activities, boys and girls. I would throw in transgender wrestling, but I'll leave that alone. Everybody got cameras on their smart phones. A person can buy a decent video camera and a tripod and get a spot on facebook and Voila! You can create all the coverage you want.

Klein Forest won 82-67. KF has a good team. I can see why they are ranked # 1 in 6A. They got about 4 or 5 guys who can really shoot the 3. Their guards Taj Simmons, Reggie miller, and Durey can drive inside too. They have an inside game and deadly 3 game. They are disciplined and well coach as well.
