  1. I can't believe I'm typing a sentence that has SP and Regional Tournament in it, but Good Luck Sharks!
  2. Best believe I would send out a notice at the start of the year, part of which would include a letter signed by parent(s) reiterating their job as parents and mine as a coach. You cheer, I coach.
  3. Man TABC must've been sleeping on them, weren't even ranked. Hate that for BS, graduate a lot from what my friend told me and there's not much coming from JV.
  4. In district with chester, goodrich, zavalla etc. Good coach as well though and a couple freshman that are special (for 1A)
  5. Both Brookeland and Martinsville were 2A last year if I'm not mistaken, both dropped to 1A this year with the new alignments.
  6. Brookeland is about to waltz into the Regional Tournament, Wildcats by 15+
  7. Unless I'm thinking of a different Latexo that little bitty ole gym isn't gonna fit half the fans for that game.
  8. If these guys were in another region other than 3 they'd be a shoe in to SA.
  9. I agree, it'll definitely be an exciting district season.
  10. I won't be surprised if we've got a 3 way tie between EC, Kountze, and OF at the end of this.
  11. Don't know his name but BC has a little shooter that if he got hot I could see him being the reason for the outcome.
  12. Small schools are prone to dry runs, happens to the best of em. One that stands out to me the most is Goodrich basketball, they had a stretch of runs to Austin in the late 90s early 00s and they've been awful in comparison the past 15 years.
  13. Several good games this Friday but definitely heading to this one. Who you got? BS plays tough at home but Sutherland is always gonna have his kids ready.
  14. Oilers good or Kennard bad?
  15. The wildcats got a solid team, not regional bound or anything but they'll turn some heads.
  16. I wouldn't be shocked actually if Brookeland wins this one.
  17. Mckinney was his name, special player as well. Most think they would've beat Thorndale that year if he was at 100%, hurt his knee earlier in the playoffs and wasn't close to the same.
  18. Had to put an account together for these recent posts concerning BS state runs, old age is getting the best of a few of us old heads. In 14-15, the first year they made it Angel had 36 in the semi and 30 in the final (a loss to Canadian). The following year led the team with 13 in the loss to Muenster in the semis. Angel, alongside Marcus Thompson back in '02-'05, were Foster's best players he's ever coached. No knock on Benson however, because he's probably no. 3 on that list. Just needed to get some fact checks together, as I remembered those experiences far different than some.
