Vote on line item bills, problem solved. Let each politician put his name on pork bills that drive up the deficit instead of rolling it all into one big beautiful bill with just a few things that are good for the country and the rest of it is 💩. It’s kinda like Nancy Pelosi’s famous line Kinda like when Massie, MGT, Boebert and Mace was able to get the Epstein Files Transparency Act to be voted on. It put all politicians on the spot to vote for it and if they didn’t they looked like a pedo protector. It even put Trump on the spot to make him sign it which he didn’t want to because it would hurt some of his friends. But he had to sign or he would have looked like a Pedo Protector. Doesn’t sound like a good choice of friends to me. My point is by voting on line item bills it creates accountability of the politicians.

And in doing so he creates more inflation which is a tax no one voted on?

My original post was a copy and paste. I made that known. But the take home pay is not that far off. Neither I nor you know what state this individual is from but the additional things that we are taxed on are legitimate taxes. I made a guess of NC. I believe the reason of the post as I read it was we are taxed to the hilt and not much is left over after being taxed only to be taxed some more when you try to spend what’s left over. Some people are in better situations than others but a lot of Americans are struggling. I will not sit by and be a cheerleader for this administration if basic necessities keep rising in price. I am happy that you are in a good financial situation but I do have sympathy for people whose wages can’t keep up with the inflation we’ve had the last 5.5 years. You can you only stretch your pay so far before it just doesn’t stretch anymore. By the way we will be eating red beans and rice tonight. They’ve been cooking all day in the crockpot. 😎

Well I guess I could flip that question and say show me where all the taxes that are being charged are spent in a justifiable manner and are not be misused . Kinda of a vague open ended question that has countless variables. I would say a good start would be stop spending more than you take in , kinda like most families and businesses do. Don’t forget the tax that is not even voted on - Inflation - for spending more than you take in and devaluing the dollar.

I believe the whole point of the post was there was not much left to live on after being taxed into an oblivion.
