Babin was never being considered by Lumberton.  The LISD board will decide who gets the keys to this loosing program, not the administration.  Dont see much good coming from Ltown for awhile.  TOO MUCH politics!

Glad to see Alvin and Vidor a done deal.  A quality coach working with a quality AD at Vidor. 

Have to agree with ya bull...Rebs have been tough since 2007, but this year may be the least talented, least physical team in recent history.  Maybe ever.  As yall know Im a big Evadale fan and have some close ties to EISD.  Ive followed them as closely as possible for 20+ years, but this year they are down, way down.  They have some really good kids coming and will be in contention for the crown in a year or two.
And yes Yeller, that was just like HD 55 with all the history.  So in my friendliest way possible, those stats are good for grinding up, adding a little Hershey's and milk and you've got a nice shake!!!

Everyone knows Im a big Rebel supproter after my Pirates, and this is only a scrimmage but Hardin would be better to intersquad.  The Rebels are way down and their district champs run thats been going on since 2008 is over.
Good luck to both teams and hope for no injuries.

The obvious qustion to me is since when did HD care about UIL rules anyway?!?!  ;) 

I went to pull for my buds from Evadale and didnt see the Rebels play until the 4th quarter.  I'm concerned that the Rebs stand around alot and one of the best players on the court for Evadale goes to his spot and stands there.  I cant figure that one out.  Evadale finally started driving and making things happen but again, only in the 4th.  The team from Big Sandy just seem to want this one TONS more the Evadale.  If Evadale beats West Hardin then it will be a tie at the top and played on a neutral court.  Evadale took game 1 by 13 and Sandy took this one by 15, so may be a good one.  I will however sit on the Sandy side, was very shocked by a few of the Evadale fans!  I think 2 were asked to leave the gym by a DPS officer.  That's very "un Evadale" like for those folks.  Usually some of the best fans in around.
Anyway, congrats to BS on a very good showing...Game 3 to follow!

I sure hope yall shut Cat up.  I guess yall should go ahead and find a nuetral site for the playoff game for 1st place and save the trip to BS.

I will pull for Evadale every week but this one.  I'm sticking to what I've been saying that the Rebs are down from past seasons and it will show this week.

The Rebs will be OK this year I think in large because their schedule is kinda weak and I know, they only play who lines up against them.  But, they have some work to do to stack up to the Rebel expectations set from the past 3-4 years.  I for one think this whole "big and small" 1A/2A is a joke, especially in 1A.  149 and under is small and 150 to 199 is big?  ??? ??? (silly)  But that's a whole different topic.  Now don't start hating on me Yeller, I'm a [b]BIG[/b] Evadale fan!  I make a couple games a year and have some real good friends there.  I wish them the best except for when we face each other. 

Good luck HD, we are all ready to get back on the grid-iron.  As far as Kountze and HD, the Lions will fair better this year IMO with their new staff.

It should and usually is the player standing directly under or directly behind the center.

I agree.  Make no changes.  And I'm sure the rest of District 4A would agree.

[/quote] ;D ;D You've got him pegged!!  Evadale has made it to the playoffs the last 5 years and won district the last 3 years.  I do believe however this will be the weakest team they've fielded in the last 5 years.  I heard the would be starting QB is sitting out for basketball.  Hate to hear that cause that will pull a starter from another position to fill in.  Its not a good thing to start the year off with the 2nd string QB.

Pulling for ya Rebs...hey 55, your "weakest district" statement doesnt hold water at all...the Rebs won their 2nd round game last year by BIG numbers, making it to the 3rd round!  Must not be the weakest...whatever!!

[/quote]33 Heat FTA in game 6 to 18 FTA for Dallas.  Not sure which way the calls went but it wasn't in the Mavs favor!  The Heat is for sure the most talented team in the NBA but they will have to figure out a way to "jell" togehter.  Back yard ball won't win the big one!

You can believe that stuff all you want, but the Stange will not be good this year.  They may win some games due to a weak schedule be they are a few years away.

Evadale in 3.  I believe the Rebel bats will prevail in the end.  The pitching is good enough but the difference in this team is in the batters box!
