Lumberton will stay 4A this is what the school posted The University Interscholastic League just sent out an update to the Conference Alignments for 4A and 5A schools. Lumberton ISD is now 4A with our submission of 1222. 4A Division I: 880 – 1229 (865 – 1209)* 93 schools 4A Division II: 515 – 879 (515 – 864)* 93 schools 5A Division I: 1922 – 2219 (1900 – 2219)* 128 schools 5A Division II: 1230 – 1921 (1210 – 1899)* 125 schools Lumberton ISD submitted a total of 1222 students enrolled in high school. With the revisions, we are now categorized as a 4A Division I school

It just shocks me that everyone gets on here and bashed Lumberton. Let’s be honest. No we don’t have the size as some of these other schools, but we have a school full of a bunch of players that play their heart out every game. They have nothing to be ashamed of for losing to a number 1 ranked team in the state. Lumberton put up the most points on Carthage this season that is something to be proud of. Making playoffs two years in a row and going 2 rounds deep after going 4-5 seasons of only winning 1 game a year. I’m beyond proud of the raiders.

Let’s not use the word IMPOSSIBLE here 😂 us raiders have some faith going into this one. I know our boys were down at first but they are pretty fired up. They are wanting to make some history!

Well as far as band and drill team goes. They only need one bus to fit band and drill team in. The raider band and raider drill team take 8 busses. Let me remind you in order to get to these games on time they need to leave about 4:30-5. Let me also remind you the buses have to drop high school and middle school students off after school. Oh and football and cheer use 3 buses. Our school does not have enough busses to take 11 buses and drop kids off from school. Think about the realism here before you start jumping to conclusions

Will the raiders get to sit on the home side or will they have to sit on the visitor side?
