Yates is gonna be a super tough task for HJ. I think if HJ can slow the game down, play solid D, limit turnovers, and have a really good shooting night or maybe get 1 or 2 of Yates top guys in foul trouble they have a chance to win. Basically a perfect game and a few mistakes from Yates lol. Good luck though HJ!

Lumberton was really impressive in this game. Especially the first half. Might just be up to the task against La Marque in my opinion

North Forest isn’t a great team but they’re not a bad team. Maybe by Yates standard. But Brazosport isn’t on Yates level and Silsbee hasn’t played at that level this year either. Silsbee COULD win by double digits depending on what type of night they have but it won’t be an automatic win. Brazosport has shown they can score almost as well as Silsbee. Neither team has been that great on the defensive end this year.

Likely to be a high scoring game. I’ll give Silsbee the edge but wouldn’t be surprised if Brazosport wins

Mohead, I think Ghost Writer explained pretty well why bigger cities have schools that are really good and schools that are really bad. All the really good athletes are lured to certain schools. Football athletes are less likely to be lured to a small school. That’s why the football teams at small schools in big cities are often verry bad. Certain small schools however often benefit from b-ball players being lured there

Should be the easiest win Silsbee’s had in a minute. I honestly thing BC could beat Livingston

They lost to EC lol. They lost in a respectable fashion and Buna and Orangefield both lost to EC both times

Which is why small schools in rural areas shouldn’t have to compete against “small schools” in big cities. Yates can handpick out of all the kids in Houston basically while they compete against schools that don’t have that privilege

There’s always loop holes around the rule. Ain’t nothing going to stop someone from breaking rules except integrity

They could also loose Region 3 4A. Chances are really unlikely but it could happen. It’s basketball. There’s no such thing as zero chance

I’m rooting for my hometown Woodville and I think they have a chance but I really think Kountze will probably outscore them. Especially the way Woodville has played the last couple games

Yep your right. My badd. 3rd seed still has a better chance of making the 3rd round though. 2nd seed has to meet Coldspring 2nd round

I don’t think 3rd seed would meet Coldspring till the fourth round if they get past Crockett in the 3rd which is unlikely

You probably right but the 3rd seed would play Woodville or CH first round then Van Vleck (hope I spelled it right) second round. Van Vleck is a much more winnable game than Coldspring in my opinion

Yea that’s tough. Might’ve been better off finishing district at 3rd. That other side of the bracket looks nice lol

Not a traditional Kountze team but much better than last year. Can score pretty well but don’t seem to play much defense. Second tier team but could still be dangerous for a first tier team because of their coach and winning tradition

Hardin never really scores much. Orangefield is more of a defensive team who can have a good shooting night time to time. Score isn’t surprising. Looks like Hardin made it ugly which was probably their goal. Still didn’t work though

The winner of that game would finish district 8-6 and the loser would finish 7-7 right?
