  1. First of all, you didn't beat LCM by 30.  Score was 69-56.  I believe that is 13.  Still a good win.  LCM is obviously playing much better since that game though.  They beat HF by 51 and almost beat HJ.  Also, BC beat Lumberton and LCM and lost to PNG.  OF lost to Barbers Hill and Nederland.  The 4As are very different.  Also, don't compare Reynolds to Hayes.  There is no comparison.  I am sure that Reynolds is a good player for you, but seriously.  He doesn't average 18 a game.  He scored 20 against LCM.  That was his best game.  Don't get me wrong.  BC has improved.  They play as a team this year.  You are moving in the right direction.  You never know what might happen once district starts.

No comparison made between the two kids but BC was down 3 at the half against OF and with Reynolds in the line up changes the game no doubt about it.  Hayes is a good player but let's not get to carried away. Check the stats on Reynolds and get right back to me on the PPG. Like I said mirror schedules between the two schools in same tourney's against same teams in the same gyms.  OF will be competing for the same spots as BC with no advantage and we are looking forward to district.
  2. am i making this up or didnt LC-M lose to BC... and then HJ plays LC-M close.... what does that mean... im not sure... im a little confused on how that adds up

BC thumped LC-M by 30 and this will be an interesting district for 2008-2009.  OF, HJ, WOS, BC all have a shot at #2 and #3 spots behind the Tigers because after seeing them it seems they can play at any level on any court and be a contender or winner.
  3. Had BC played any 4 or 5A schools?

OF did lose to a 4A last night if this is your comparison. OF did beat us but it will be different when Reynolds returns with his 18 ppg and sound defense.  He makes us a very difficult team to defend on the offensive end and plays incredible defense.  It's like taking Hayes away from OF and you become very average. OF schedule is a mirror image of BC's to this point. BC is 9-2 and we are very proud of our youngsters and so looking forward to district.  Appears the #2 and #3 spots are for the taking with HJ having trouble with LC-M all the way to OT and by the way BC beat LC-M by 30.
  4. BC undefeated in tourney play and if all goes well tomorrow will see OF in Championship on Saturday.  BC on a roll 7-1 with seven straight kills and playing without Reynolds good for 20 ppg before injury.  He will be ready for district and we will be glad to have him back.  A little excitement for the Cards putting some wins together and still not playing up to potential but it is early and hopefully we get tuned up for district.  OF is for real and I look for them to really make a statement as they can shoot, rebound and play defense in sound form early in the season and they will pull of an upset before close of business.  Evadale has put on a good tourney even though we are playing in the old gym due to IKE.

  5. It has been reported that The infamous HAWK HECKLERS have been practicing at thier secret underground gymnasium in Nome, Tx....they have spent numerous amounts of time and money into research and development of new materials...all of which have a bad outlook for teams who plan to play the hawks, For anyone in district 21-3a this I know is a devastating blow...The Hecklers plan to be louder, prouder, and have more of an impact on the game than ever before...also Rumor has it that Dylan Willis was attacked by a pack of wolverines on a moose hunt in Alberta on Saturday...but he is expectd to heckle upon his return to the states...Im just tellin ya what I heard...

Get back to Nome quick I heard a pack of BULLDOGS was roaming the area.  News flash- They came, They ate, and they left.....News Flash- Local Sour lake Vetenarian finds BULLDOG with feathers in it's mouth and it was a Hawk still trying to heckle. Get your money back from the R&D Project, a cure has been found on how to shut them up...........
  6. HJ beat by a very good Nederland team.  These guys put in alot of work over the summer with BC, Lumberton, PNG, and Vidor.  If this does anything it sets achievable goals for other teams to put a sock in the Hawk Hecklers.  After watching the highlights it looked like it was raining in Sour lake tonight and the storm was named "TORRES" with 43 points.

  7. All coaches around Texas get the resumes ready because it is time for a change. Let's get the thoughts on this one and I know I heard at least a hundred people chatting it up last night at yet another whipping.  Trust me our kids are better players than our coach allows them to be and you can bank that.

  8. I think when the coach at LCM came there he had passion. But I also think that over the years between losing and having to listen to his critics he has lost that passion. That is a shame because it seems the kids are the ones that are suffering. But I don't put the total blame on him. If he had the total support of the community this might not have happened. Times have changed.

Real coaches never ever ever make the excuses of "I just lost the passion"
  9. This is an outside looking in opinion and I grew up my entire life in the LC-M school district and now reside in BC were my kids go and we made a visit to Bear Country last night and brought our freshman and JV to play.  What I saw was a little bit dissapointing starting with the 100k scoreboard that didn't work half the time, no announcer to give any sort of play by play (kids on all levels love to hear their name called when they make a play), and I saw kids that were big and athletic that got their butts handed to them on every play time and time again.  BC was much smaller but took care of their assignments and made play after play.  LC-M has the athletes to make a run but they have no leader to take them to the next level.  Any coach who would dodge a showdown with a crosstown rival is no more than coward and scared to show the county what he really has not taught his boys because it is not a lack of talent.  The only good thing I saw was all of the asst. coaches kept instruction coming the entire butt whipping and the kids showed excellent sportsmanship with the exception of a couple of mouths who would celebrate after BC made a cou[ple of 15 yard runs.  Bear Country reduce your risk and cut your losses and send Moody packing because their is good things to come when the administration finds you a real leader.  Always be proud to be a Bear because I am and always will be in my heart.

  10. I believe now the Freshman and JV have outscored their opponents 172-0 in two games between them and it is looking good again in BC.  As far as the Dishon kid moving up it is mentioned it is a receiver issue but over Jason Broussard and some of the JV studs I just can't buy it.  I think it is more a backup QB now that Breaux is down but Menard should be filling this role because he will be the QB once Lemoine moves to greener pastures.  Someone please help on this one and let the fans know why so many more physical upper classmen (receivers) were over looked.

  11. kellys jv went up 20 to zero in the 1st quarter, the the players who play friday nights as well were taken outta the game. with everyone in the looked pretty solid

Ha B.C.'s freshmen were up 38 to 0 on Liberty at the end of the first  8)

BC JV up 44-0 at halftime at Liberty! Do I sense the stables to be getting full in the near future when the Freshmen and JV win 112-0 in game one of the season.
