First of all congrats to Vidor on another great season. Bad luck on the first round draw. SC is very well coached and talented team. Second of all, I apologize for any distractions I may have caused on the game update thread. I admit to getting into a side conversation (3 or 4 posts) that was not directly related to the game. It was a civil conversation btw, about enrollment.  :) I also made a comment about the hollering fan/radio announcer. Sorry but that guy was bad. Anyway, I didn't realize that there was a policy (which I have read now) about game/update threads. I have been on here for about 5 years and never knew that. After reading that policy, I realize that I have broken said policy on just about every game thread I have ever posted on. I don't believe I was in anyway even partially responsible for getting the thread locked, but I did make a few comments that didn't pertain, so maybe I was. That's all I have to say about that.

[/quote] I guess on this level, the numbers argument is moot.  Vidor beat Central, which has 250 more boys than they.  They beat a 5A school which I think was double Vidor size.  If numbers were so critical on this level, then the Aliefs and the Plano's of the world would have multiple championships.  Well Plano High has several but since they broke them up into East and West, they haven't sniffed the Regionals in football..... [/quote] I do agree that coaching at this level is the biggest factor. But the fact is that all coaching staffs are not created equal. Hence, the reason every state in the country has classifications based on enrollment. No excuses for Vidor, Dayton or anyone else. Just facts. SC has a very good football team period.
