  1. Great post. I hope he makes a difference and they surprise some teams this season. Just not versus us. Good luck to you son too. The profession needs young men like him.
  2. No chance for a sellout in mid county. But u can save $2/each by purchasing tickets before game day. [Hidden Content]
  3. Are we expecting rain?
  4. @DP#1FAN this is the area for any discussion. There's at least 30 local Golden Triangle teams in our coverage area. Someone is almost always left out. I'll get them in next week. But to keep the masses of south Newton County happy. Send me a list of the games you'd like included.
  5. Fixed it. Now let's talk about the game. Jasper by 21
  6. Week 1 Hamshire-Fannett vs Lumberton [Hidden Content]
  7. Don't mind him. He's trying to throw shade.
  8. The most I ever bet is $1 per game. But I've got a stack of them at work from those that thought they could beat WOS. Lost a couple last year but who's counting. We could at least offer a gift card to the winner. Maybe Academy or a local restaurant?
  9. It's easy. Pick the winner of the 25 games each week. Most people quote, or copy and paste, the original post. Then make your picks bold text. For example, here is the link to last years state championship round.
  10. This is a free competition. Winner gets braggin rights. But @AggiesAreWe may want to take your wager?

  12. Much anticipated return to Bulldog Stadium. Last time the game wasn't over when the rain called it a final. But let's not dwell on that too much. Previous season has no bearing on this Week 1 match-up. And this game will only determine the result of this game. (Thanks to whoever said that before on the Nederland thread) So lets kick it off with a poll. Who you got?
  13. Entering the final week of preparation. The next 17 weeks will fly by much faster than waiting for the last 17 to pass. Good luck to everyone. Prayers for a safe season for all these student athletes and all supporting organizations as well. Let's not forget, without the trainers, cheerleaders, and bands 🥁. Friday night lights just wouldn't be the same.
  14. Step right up ladies and gentlemen. The 2023 WOSgrad Pick'ems competition will begin soon. Everyone is welcome to compete. It's a 17 week battle with no bye week. I plan to only have Friday night games. But with the talk of official shortages already these games may change to Thursday or Saturday. Keep a close eye on the Lock Times each week. I'll make an announcement here if I'm moving the times up. And if you find yourself not making the deadline. Send me a PM with your picks and I'll count the games that haven't been played. Hopefully that means "NO FREEBIES". Last year we had a total of 7, with only 8 pts separating the top 5. Also if anyone notices a mistake please let me know as soon as possible. Looking forward to another year with a local team finishing up at AT&T. Good luck to all fans and teams this season.
  15. He's a lucky kid
  16. Proper Planning Prevents Poor Production It would have to be done in stages. Take one of the centrally located schools. Move all those students to the surrounding schools. Tear it to the ground and build up. Many times the footprint is small for a large building supporting multiple businesses and or families. Think of it like this. All the wasted real estate space for acres of parking lots at NRG. Versus the parking garages around the Woodlands pavilion. People need to think upward and not out. I had this idea because of the other topic on the man losing his home to some ???-ISD's parking lot.
  17. Yes, yes , and yes. QB's leadership role has been enhanced by a WOS legend. It was an honor to meet that man and shake his hand last night. As long as we have community members like him and my friend @dj, who are committed to continue to program's success. We cannot fail. WOS 112%
  18. [Hidden Content] Because i follow news about God and AI on the smart news app, I stumbled across this article a few days ago. The absurdity of this is mind blowing. But it shows the lengths that people will go to try to justify their decisions. This is a dangerous time for Christians. The devil has a hold on almost every aspect of society around the world. And there is only one solution. [Hidden Content]
  19. "Keep Kirbyville Wierd" doesn't sound right. I wouldn't be surprised if someone puts a for sale sign in they's yard. That doesn't sound right either. What pronoun do they prefer? It doesn't matter. The only preference that matters is that of the parents of these students. It's ultimately a decision for them to make about how they want their children to learn. We need more church based schools for these students. I'm sure there are some teachers in the district that may disagree with all this too. Wouldn't that be an simple solution? Too many of the problems we're facing today could be because of the lack of God in our public schools.
  20. Be careful using abbreviations like that on your resume when you apply. Carry on
